  1. Hi, I'm using active DSP with one of the effects being delay. It seems feedback is limited, even when set to 127. Like, I want to create add delay with a small delay time but have it repeat for a long time. Even when feedback is set at 127, it seems to just repeat the tone a few times. Is there anyway to make the tone constantly repeat ? Thanks!
  2. ah ok, I missed that, now it makes sense. I wonder why they didn't set default to A?? Anyway it's working now. This is a great keyboard for stage and I'm so happy Casio came out with this, and this functionality will it just a bit easier now.
  3. whoa that was strange. I finally found the midi port under settings , there is a choice of A and C. It was set to C, so I change it to A. I didn't work, but suddenly after 5 minutes it started to work! I did not see this setting in the manual. Also, you can change registrations one after the other, but to change a tone, it seems like you must wait 15 seconds from whatever previous event you sent. Anyway Thank you!!!!!
  4. Completely bizarre. Registrations work, but selecting tones doesn't, not with my setup nor with yours. The whole point of this exercise is trying to not have a sheet of paper with the song name and registration/tone number at shows. I do appreciate the help though.
  5. Are you able to show the outgoing messages for the sample you posted? I'll compare with mine to see if there is something different.
  6. strange. Those are my exact setting. But changing registrations work. By the way, does midi command hang after a few seconds when using a cable? Mine does, but over bluetooth it works well.
  7. I'm using midi commander on android. Works fine for registrations. And when I monitor incoming midi commands when I change tone, it appears that is what the keyboard is sending.
  8. Any idea on how to simply change a tone via MIDI? Looking at the guide, I thought I could send CC 0, msb 35 (bank according to the instructions), lsb 64, then program change of 62 (program number, again from the guide). Bank 35 program 62 should be tone 327 according the guide. When I do this, nothing happens ;(
  9. Thanks!!! I was able to do it from my phone via bluetooth!!!!! Edit: Since we cannot name registrations, this is helpful to use a free app that you can define presets with a name and simply have the preset select the proper registration on the keyboard.
  10. Thanks! I got the software, I just didn't understand what to send. Actually I still don't know what to send exactly. Also, it seems when selecting a registration on the keyboard, the actual registration # isn't sent, but instead all of the parameters/effects that make up the registration are sent.
  11. Again, I'm not an expert on this stuff. But when I record and change registrations, it appears that the Casio is just sending the list of all parameters used to build the registration, not the actual registration bank + number. Sorry if I should have opened a new topic.
  12. Hi, fellow Floridian here I know I might be over my head, but we see that registrations can now be selected via MIDI. How is this actually done? Like, if I have a MIDI controller, what are the messages that need to be sent to make this happen? Thanks
  13. Hi, I got the Gator case mentioned above and it's a perfect fit. I managed to get a deal on it, otherwise I wouldn't spend 1/3 the price of the keyboard on a case. I've been curious though how those soft rifle cases are working out, they don't seem like they would have the height. Can anyone comment?
  14. Ok, I get this. Basically regulations to make things inconvenient for everyone, and it would be super expensive to integrate it. Anyway thanks for addressing my issues. So I have been able rehearse and play a show with this -- Awesome! Using a suggestion from someone here, I created some registrations and was able to fairly quickly adjust sounds/settings during songs. I did need to have a cheat sheet though. Sounded great, audience was happy, and it was easy to transport. I must say too that keys feel really good considering the price of this keyboard. I even used lyrics (the built in lyrics)! One plus with the USB port on the back: It's powered. So you can plug in USB powered LED light and and it works, which is what I need to see my cheat sheet and controls. None of us can figure out though why plugging both left and right out into 2 different amps creates buzz in both amps, but as soon as we unplug one, there's no buzz. It's happened at different places. I have an android phone. Which is I'm sure what millions of other people have. The number of people who have an Ipad with a USB-C hub I'm sure would be in the minority. In any case, it's not a simple solution - you need a hub, or a cable, adapter, or a combination of things, all of which will get lost, broken, etc. I do not understand the logic - using a regular USB port would have make it easy for anyone to connect. I guess there is some nostalgia with these instruments. Thanks, going to look into this. I thought I did program them but once I turned it off/on, nothing stuck. So I'll go back and double check the instructions. By the way, I'd LOVE to see something like this with a big touch screen in a small form factor, a la PX-560 (hint hint!) But this thing is going to be killer as is!
  15. I was going to start my own thread about this, but my comments are similar. I've had this keyboard for 5 days and have used it quite a bit and taken it to band practice. I should say that I'm really not a keyboard player, I should probably be banned from touching a keyboard but I play anyway. But, I am perhaps the target customer -- I play music, but can't justify a super expensive instrument. Anyway. the sounds are amazing, keys feel great (I really like the texture) responsiveness feels great for a keyboard this price. it's a great size too. There is quite a bit of control with regard to effects and settings. This is definitely going on stage with me. But I have to wonder why not put just a little more effort into the design to make it completely awesome. Gripes follow: * registration - don't even know why it's called registration, but you can't label anything. And why banks and numbers? Why not have just 200 registrations available that you can label? * What's up with an external bluetooth thing. Why isn't it just built in? It's another thing to lose/misplace or wear out the multi-use USB jack. It also means yanking it out when you want to use a USB drive * Why ANOTHER USB port that's micro USB?? Seriously, who has a USB-C to micro USB lying around? No one. So, you bring the keyboard home, and you can't even do your own vocal stuff. Total non-instant gratification * Again, why a cable anyway for the lyric stuff? It's 2022 -- it should be bluetooth. Indeed there's a bluetooth adapter included, but yet it has no good purpose * Last thing about the USB: It's on the back of the unit, which is really inconvenient to get to and will for sure get knocked out when someone bumps into it (I have a Yamaha where the USB is on the front and recessed) * I don't understand the categories of the patches. They mostly make sense, but then there are a couple of categories that are a mix of tones -- why aren't they in with their respective category? Why is casio classic its own category? * would like to see an easy way to change tones in a live setting. The videos make it look so easy, but in fact, as was recommended in a different topic here, you basically have to save a registration and then write down on paper what setting is in which bank/number (again, year is 2022, I forget how to use a pen). Hey, actually if anyone is actually still reading this, I got an issue with running both left and right outputs that is the same issue as my wk-7600: If I connect just the left output, everything sounds great. When I connect both the left and right, there's a buzz. Actually, if I connect the left, and simply plug into the right without connecting the other end to anything, it buzzes. Anyone have any idea about this? On stage, I want to connect to the house PA and also my own little amp, but the buzz is annoying, but so strange it happens on my other Casio keyboard too. Thanks!!!
  16. Thanks for approving my posts! > Since you mentioned "I have bought 4 of your keyboards", speaking to Casio I assume, I feel the need to clarify, this site is an independent user community. Well the url has a trademarked name in it, with members of Casio on this board and links to the Casio site as well as downloads so I dunno how independent it is LOL. But I do appreciate the help. Oh and I'm waiting for an update from OP!
  17. Thanks! With registrations, it's a lot of taps to find the registration you need and load it. That would be difficult in the middle of the song. Also it would be nice if you could label registrations. I'll look into switching with a pedal though, that may help out.
  18. For some reason, even though I've been on this site for 2 weeks, I still cannot post. I have attempted to send email to "administrator" to no avail. How does one become a productive member of this forum? I have bought 4 of your keyboards already, is that not enough?
  19. I have a similar question. I just picked up the ct-s1000v, and I'd like to use it for live performing. I have this issue with my previous casio (and maybe I just don't know enough!), but is there a quick way to change tones? Like in one song, I need go to from piano to flute to synth If I have to do this via the wheel, it's going to take a LONG time. Is there a better way to quickly preset the tones you need for a song? Thanks
