  1. Ok thanks. Guess I'll just have to learn to be quick at the end of a tune and reach for that stop button! I could adjust the accompaniment down to zero but that affects the rhythm also. I guess the Casio engineers didn't anticipate a piano player who could play both hands and just wanted to add some drums. Thanks for your help. Warren
  2. Ok. That did work to stop the rhythm and accompaniment. What I was trying to do was to automatically start and stop a rhythm without any other accompaniment. I can start the rhythm by using synchro start but the stop function only works when the accompaniment is playing. Apparently. Any work around that you can think of?
  3. Thanks, Brad for the quick answer. So I was kinda right in that turn it off and on gets you back. Don't know why I didn't think to register that but will now. Second question though was how to synchro stop. Start I can do. It's stopping that won't work. The manual says to press button 11 synchro stop and then with the accompaniment sounding, releasing all the accom. Keyboard keys will stop it. But didn't work for me. Warren
  4. 1. When you've programmed a registration bank with a special sound, rhythm etc and are done with that, and want to go back to the standard keyboard, how do you do that? I can turn the keyboard off and back on, but must be a different way like a stop button? 2. I've read up on the synchro stop function on page 35 of the manual but it's not working for me. Am I missing a step not shown in the manual?
  5. Here's the system info files you asked for. To answer your question, yes I was able to load one of the templates on my keyboard and the volumes changed as desired. I was not able to actually see the levels but could tell from listening. Here's a stupid question; once I have chosen a registration bank and then want to revert back to the normal factory setup, how do I? Turning the machine off does the trick. Thanks, Warrensysinfofile.nfo
  6. Hi Chandler, also sorry for late reply. I got a bit lax in checking the forum. I'm away for a short time but will follow up with you upon my return. Thanks for your support. Warren
  7. Hi Chandler! Just wondering if you had any new suggestions for me to get the rbk mixer running? Warren
  8. I pulled the USB drive out of the computer. Moved one template file from download to the documents file. 360U1U2Quiet.RBK. Imported into the mixer. The gray and blue boxes show the correct location and file. No instruments or volume settings are shown. I CAN see the refresh dialog box by right clicking within the RBK mixer but refreshing appears to do something, but no changes are made. Choosing the classic or cool screen doesn't matter either. Is there a way to tell if the RBK mixer program is being fully and properly imported ? At one point, I think on the older version, I got a window that when I was shutting down the program warned me that the program was not finished importing. I didn't get that warning with the new version. Attached is the installation file I downloaded from you. Finally , how do I view the screenshots included in the template files? If I try to open a given file, windows asks me what program I want to use , eg adobe, picassa, windows media viewer, none of which work. ( As I mentioned earlier, the way I could see the settings screenshot is when I imported into the old version of RBKmixer. That showed volume setting as well as the instrument names. But the new version doesn't) RBK Mixer_0.3.1_x64_en-US-1 (2).msi
  9. No. Right clicking didn't change or add anything. The template rbk files you sent me, were they created with the S350 or 360? If S350, I should be able to modify on either version of the mixer? Warren
  10. But when I install the new version, the file name imports, but the instruments and volume settings don't. So I guess it probably didn't import anything really.
  11. I loaded the old version of RBK mixer and was able to import your file 360 U1 quiet which showed the instrument names and the volume levels you had set. I tried changing a volume level and exporting to my usb ; changing the file name gave me an export error so I tried again by making the Q a q and that time it said success, but when I look at the USB files, I don't see it. At least now I know what volume levels you used. Warren
  12. Hi Chandler, I opened the Templates.zip file which gives me a folder labeled S360 Template Files that when opened reveals 6 RBK files. I used the 360 U1 Quiet RBK file and loaded it into my keyboard and it appears to have worked. I'm assuming that you set up slot 1 as the highest volume and slot 4 as the lowest. The panning is centered now. I don't see the separate folder "Template Settings" showing screenshots that you mentioned. They would be helpful showing the volume levels you chose, as a learning tool for the future, if I ever actually get the mixer to work on my computer. One additional RBK file that I'd like to try would just leave the volumes at max, but pan the U1 and U2 full right and L full left. That would give stereo separation and allow volume adjustments to be made on an external mixer or amp volume controls. I think. Meanwhile, I'm going to try to start over with the RBK mixer uninstalling and reinstalling the newer version you sent me. Thanks for the help; sorry for taking so much of your time. Warren
  13. Thanks for sending the templates. I'll work with these tomorrow. Meantime, I am using my son's windows 8 and couldn't figure out how to do much, but then switched from Internet Explorer to Chrome and things looked familiar again. I downloaded the revise RBK install you sent me, but I'm getting the same results. Import changes the file location and name, but instruments not shown and the export button does nothing. So apparently it's me, not the windows version, that is doing something wrong. Maybe I need to wipe it all clean and start from the beginning. Is there anything I could send you that would help diagnose the issue? Warren
  14. I deleted the RBK program and reinstalled it after turning Avast off. I saved it to the documents file rather than program file but got the same results. It seems to allow me to import an RBK file but doesn't show the instruments but does show the file name in the upper window. Changing the name or not, the export function doesn't work at all. In that early version I got further than now. Answered my own question about Vista. Perhaps I need to borrow my son's laptop to see if it'll work. Could it be Windows 11? Warren
  15. Hi Chandler, I was able to load the file and install in my 360. I do hear a volume difference especially at 70. One unexpected thing is that the sound is coming from the right channel when choosing 70, with a tiny bit in the left. The 80 setting had the piano sound coming mainly from the left channel. Perhaps the pan function was set that way. Which gives me an idea. If I were to pan the piano right and the bass left and then output to different channels in my amp, I could adjust the relative volumes via the amp rather than needing to set up various levels in the registration banks. Yes? I haven't had a chance yet to try again to get the RBK mixer runningin my computer but will later and report back. Could it be a Windows 11 issue? I'm kind of wishing I hadn't downloaded the update. Would the program run on Vista? My 2009 computer still works fine. Warren
  16. I uninstalled the original RBK mixer. Tried to load the new version, Avast was blocking it but I finally got it installed. But it didn't really run. So I tried again with the antivirus turned off and it loaded and seemed like it wanted to work. import allowed me to choose between the USB and the file I had imported previously to my docs. But unlike the old version, it didn't import the instrument names. I could change the volumes with the sliders. I could change the file name. But hitting the export button did nothing. The new version you sent is dated 7/13/22 6878kb. I think I'm more stuck than I was before. Warren
  17. Another thought, have you tested the program on the CDP s360? Most of the references are for the 350 which is almost the same keyboard but... If you haven't, perhaps you could make a simple RBK file for me to import and test on my 360. eg stage piano with the split being acoustic bass. Volume set max on bass and maybe half on piano.
  18. Hi Chandler and thanks for your quick reply. Unfortunately no success. I tried putting the rbk file in documents, imported into the mixer and changed volume. Renamed it and got the same oops message. Changed back to original file name and success. However there were no changes made to volume, same as before. As for the date modified, the original rbk file was dated 12/31/2017 11:00pm and has never changed. Also the file size is shown as 2kb. That can't be right? When I originally downloaded the rbk mixer, there were 3 versions and I chose the most recent which was 11/26/21, 18 months old. Maybe I'm working with an old version? It's version 0 bugfixes pre-release. Warren
  19. Chandler, I tried again but I think the problem might be that when I change the file name, (it was CANK08.RBK and I changed to WFRK08.RBK) I get the message, " Oh no something went wrong exporting WFRK08.RBK to E:\MUSICDAT\. But if I don't change the name, leaving it as CANK08.RBK it says success. But the volume doesn't change. I'm not sure how to attach the RBK file to this conversation; no "attach" or paper clip to do that like on a regular email. thanks, Warren
  20. Hi Chandler, I have the CDP S360. I was able to download the rbk mixer on my Windows 11. Created the MUSICDAT folder for my USB. On the keyboard I just set up a simple stage piano with a split using acoustic bass. I'm trying to boost the bass with relation to the piano. I exported that to the USB and imported into your software. It apparently took because the instrument names showed up on the U1 and lower volume control. I left the bass all the way up and turned down the piano to very low, 20, just for test purposes. I then imported into the cdp s360 and the registration changed to reflect these two instruments. But the volume didn't change. So it seems like I've done the process correctly, but why didn't the volume change? I was looking for a "save" button on your mixer but don't see one. But apparently the volume changes I've made are not being stored. Do I need to change the export file name or something like that? thanks, Warren
  21. Hi Chandler, thanks for responding to my post. I'm trying to test your RBK Mixer on my CDP-S360. But frankly I think this may be way over my head. I did get to the GitHub page with the 2 icons of your mixer but I don't see a way to download it. I don't see an obvious download button that might be used by non computer programmers. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks, Warren
  22. I've got the 360 and have same problem with the left hand bass too quiet. Only solution sorta that I've found is use duet mode which allows the stereo signal to be split into left and right which can be fred into a mixer or 2 separate inputs on external amp. However limitation is the split point not adjustable but just dead center, and only one tone. Why the stereo separation is not available using the split is beyond me.
  23. I use the keyboard split feature to play bass and piano. Problem is I can't control the volumes separately. I need to boost the bass without boosting the right hand piano. I can kinda do it by boosting the bass on my amp but would rather have 2 volume controls. I've found that in duet mode you can split the stereo into separate channels which allows the left and right outputs to be controlled separately. But unlike split mode, only one instrument at a time can be chosen. Also you're stuck with the split being dead center of the 88. So I'm hoping for a solution to combine the duet mode and split mode so I can boost that bass line. Ideas?
