  1. Hi everyone. When I try to wirelessly connect my CDP-S360 to GarageBand on my iPad, I am getting a lot of delay/latency issues. I read that this is due to the Bluetooth audio on that the iPad is sending back to the Casio keyboard. Is there a way to wirelessly send Bluetooth midi from the CDP-S360 to the iPad GarageBand and then somehow use a wired connection for the audio out of the iPad so there is no latency? The iPad only has one lighting port so I’m not sure how to do this.. I’m assuming I might have to use the audio in from the keyboard somehow wired? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
  2. Hello everyone, I’m glad to be apart of this Casio community, seems like there is some very knowledgeable people here too! 😃 So I ended up buying the Casio CDP-S360 (it was a choice between this and the S3100) and I’ve had it for about a week now. I have played guitar for about 20 years now (I’m 35) and wanted to learn the piano/music theory at a deeper level. My long term goals are to get into the music production side of things as I build my small home studio. Maybe even occasionally gig with a fun local cover band or something small like that. I think the CDP-S360 will be a great keyboard for me to learn on since it’s 88 keys weighted keys and has has some decent piano sounds on it (everywhere I looked said this was the best way to learn piano). I’m excited to dive into learning and am thinking about getting in person lessons at some point as well. Looking primarily to learn some classical/jazz piano/modern music, but also am hoping that learning the piano will help me with my first love of the guitar as well lol. In addition to using the CDP-S360 as a great way to lean the piano, I am also looking to use it as a midi controller for Logic Pro. I’m looking to primarily make electronic/ambient/synthwave music, and needed something that had decent keys and was slim enough to fit into a desk keyboard pullout tray (this is my next project). The CDP-S360 so far seems like it works great with Logic Pro and will do most everything I need. It’s wonderful that it also has the pitch wheel, but too bad it doesn’t have a mod wheel. I think I may buy a small 25 key midi controller that has the mod wheel for the times I may need it. Overall, I think the CDP-S360 will be a great inspiration in my small home studio for the music projects I have in mind. I know I seem to be rambling here, but I am just very happy I have found a digital piano that checks a lot of the boxes for my personal needs! Does anyone own the CDP-S350 or the CDP-S360? How do you like it so far? Do you use it for practice/gigging/studio controller? Or maybe a combination like I am? Also, if anyone has any tips or tricks with this keyboard, please don’t hesitate to share them. Would love to here other peoples thoughts on this keyboard! Thank you, and hope you all have a wonderful day! 😃
  3. Just wanted to give an update on this. I ended up buying both of these to try at home in a quiet room (I had narrowed it down to these 2). The keys on the Privia s3100 are definitely a little bit noisier than the CDP-s360. It’s not a huge difference but the s3100 seems to be a bit more clacky sounding, almost like the keys are looser… the CDP-s360 has tighter feeling keys and the noise they make is not as high pitched clicking as the s3100. Both of these were brand new but I also realize maybe I got an s3100 that is just noisier from the factory for some reason, I’m not sure. For most people, it will probably be a non issue, but for me it is since I’m mainly playing in a small apartment late at night and need the quietest keybed I can find so I don’t wake my wife up lol. That being said, the s3100 is a fantastic digital piano and has wonderful sounds and features. I think I’m now leaning more towards the CDP-s360 because of the keybed and my unique situation (as a complete beginner, it’s probably better for me anyways lol). Anyways, just wanted to update everyone with what I had found and hope it can help others too. Thanks.
  4. Thanks! Yes that is great to know. I really love the S3100 and the sound and features seemed better than the 360… so I’m leading towards the S3100. Seems like a wonderful piano to learn on as a beginner 😃
  5. I’m debating on whether I should go with the Casio CDP S360 or Casio Privia S3100. I’m a complete beginner and wanted to go with a full size weighted keyboard to learn on. One very important thing is I need a quiet keybed since I live in an apartment and will be practicing while my wife sleeps (don’t want to wake her up with loud keys clicking and need a quieter action). I tried them both in the store and I think the s3100 seems to be a little quieter action than the cdp s360. Does anyone else notice the s3100 to be a quieter action too? I asked this on a Facebook group and some said that they they both are the same action/keybed. Thanks.
