  1. Thanks Brad! I was afraid of it, thanks for confirming. I have to say that, fiddling around with the Midi Stage web app that was created by a member of the forum, I am able to introduce not pitch bend but other midi controls like modulation and octave pitch, sounding via the Casio speakers. Not sure if this may be because this great app is re-routing midi. I'm out of my depth here, but happy to see that moving a slider on the web app actually altered the sound of the keyboard. Maybe someone can explain better than me
  2. Hey all. I've got a LK-S450 and was trying to investigate if there was any way to "add a pitch controller". I'm a newbie so please bear with me. From the midi chart in the manual I see that it can receive pitch bend, but I've also seen a couple of good conversations on this forum that talk about the GM engine and how the midi in is separate from the internal sound engine, so I'm not sure if that means that there's no way to actually affect the sound that is played. I found this interesting app called smart pitch bend, and using a USB cable in the USB to host connector it identifies the keyboard but unfortunately it doesn't seem to impact the sound. True that there's a midi channel selector and I'm not sure which one should be selected (I've tried them all at this point anyhow I think). Any input much appreciated! I was thinking that worse case maybe I cannot affect the sound that comes out of the keyboard but I can use the app and the keyboard as a midi controller with something like garage band. Thoughts?
  3. Yeah thanks. Claim placed to Gearmusic. I received the product this week and got their extra warranty so hoping for a smooth process:) Btw seems that as a newbie you can only reply a few times within 24h, that's why I didn't write earlier. Thanks again.
  4. I've actually recorded a small video, hopefully you can access. https://www.dropbox.com/s/q52iljl8gdak57y/20220927_122405_1.mp4?dl=0
  5. Thanks for checking Brad. I've actually used a few different ones to rule out that it was a faulty one. I've also tried today with an external speaker that takes audio in via mini Jack and the issue remains. I'm more and more inclined to think it's a defect since when I see demo videos in YouTube that are recorded via the headphone jack I don't notice significant volume different as they loop through different sounds.
  6. Hi there. Trying to understand if this is a normal thing or if I may have a detective unit. My Casio CT-S1 plays different tones via speakers with quite similar volume level as expected. However when I plug headphones (I've tried several), some tones are at "normal" volume at mid level of the volume knob (I.e. piano, organ) while some are very low (I.e. flute/mellotron). To the point where if I turn volume to the max with the flute it's still less that what I would like. Anyone else experiencing something similar? Thanks.
