  1. I recently downloaded the "Organ & Wurly 1.0.0 hex layer and registration from the user downloads section for the PX-560. This registration has the rotary rotary or leslie effect attached to the modulation wheel. The description for the download suggests trying all values of the wheel since the speed will increase exponentially. Indeed, various positions of the mod wheel seem to allow greater and greater speed, not just fast or slow speeds. Am I reallynot hearing multiple speeds? Is this really a variable speed rotary effect, and if it is, how is that accomplished? I haven't been able to create this effect on my own although I've only been trying to figure out the PX-560 for a couple of weeks now.
  2. I love the download! . One question though. In your description you say ".....Modulation Wheel - Controlse the Speed & Fast Rate of the Leslie Speaker (try all the values of the wheel casue it increases exponentially)". When I loaded this tone and registration into my unit, the mod wheel does indeed vary the Leslie speed depending on the position of the wheel by more than just fast/slow. I haven't figured out how to do anything other than 2 speed fast/slow. How did you accomplish this? Thanks.
  3. I just received my Casio PX-560 Saturday and just started checking out the board basics and sifting through the preset melody tones. I've found something that I'm wondering might be a problem with one of the tones. When playing the 001 NylonGuitar1 melody tone on my unit, the keys from A0-D2 all sound like some sort of percussion sound (same exact sound on each key), while e2-c8 play the expected guitar notes. Is this a fault in the program or is that section of the board supposed to represent something like a closed guitar strumming (don't know the terminology-not a guitar player). The NylonGuitar2 and NylonGuitar3 do not exhibit this, with guitar notes play on all 88 keys. Neither do the wave files 146 Nylon Gt 1 1 and 147 Nylon Gt 1 2. HOWEVER, the wave files 148 NylGt1 StNz1 and 149 NylGt2 StNz2 make the same percussion-like sound I mentioned before on every key of the keyboard. I understand that the melody tones may be made up of a single wave file or combination of wav files, but I don't see any way to determine what combination of wave files may be being used.. Maybe the NylonGuitar1 melody tone is made up of multiple wave files- wave 146 and either 148 or 149 - intentionally? Any insight? It would be great if there was a more detailed description of the individual melody tones available.
  4. It appears that in order to edit a "melody" tone, that tone has to be in upper layer 1. I don't see an "edit" button on the tone screen in upper layer 2 or in lower levels 1 and 2. That would mean you have to select the tone to be edited by placing it in layer 1, edit it, save it as a new user tone, then select that new user tone in whatever layer you desire. If this is correct, then you can't really edit tones on the fly unless already in upper layer 1. Is this correct? Example- grand piano layer upper 1, electric piano upper 2- want to edit the electric piano quickly as you are playing and not necessarily need to save the edited tone.
  5. I'm considering purchasing a PX-560 and have a couple of questions. When creating "user" tones, can you access one of the 790 wav files and then save it in one of the 280 available a user "tone" slots and not a user "hex file"?
