I'm trying to set up an external MIDI controller (a Line 6 Helix) to change the voice of my PX-S1000 using a footswitch. This is so I can play live and quickly change the voice mid song without stopping playing and using a key function.
I have connected the controller to a midi host using a midi cable (Doremidi USB Midi host) with a USB cable from the host to the PX S1000. I can see that messages from the Helix are received by the host (the light comes on momentarily); and that the PX s1000 is sending midi.
I've been through the user guide and the midi guide trying different combinations of MIDI CC settings. The Helix has Midi channel (Base, 1-16), CC# (0 - 127) and Value (0 - 127).
Has successfully controlled their piano using this technique? c and with what settings?
Thanks
