  1. Hey! a new issue found on fw 1.16 As per title - A new Synth tone saved as user with 0,0,0 for default reverb, chorus, delay. - The tone used in a new registration with DSP effects active for delay and reverb. - Delay and Reverb were set to max (127) in the mixer. - the Registration saved with the settings. issue After you load the registration the DSP effects are not active until you refresh their values in the mixer
  2. That sounds good on paper but in reality the system is not user friendly at all regarding drum sets, especially for live performances. For example one has to edit the whole set and save it separately in a user bank just to get a delay... and if one wants to switch between different sets they all should be pre-edited and saved.. I'm not even talking about Cut Off here As you know Hex layers also have individual pitch, amp, env, filters... but Global Cut Off and Delay work fine If it does not work on other systems or does not work since the beginning it does not mean it's the best solution, it just was implemented that way Anyway thank you for your assistance, I understood that I'll have to deal with that missing functionality...
  3. of course So it's not a bug it's a feature, We just added those numbers just to see them changing on the screen if you get bored....
  4. Hey! You're partially correct but It seems my explanation was not clear enough for understanding, so let me show you in 2 videos below. One is for Delay/Chorus Issue and another is for Cut Off issue. Plus Chorus effect is also affected. In short Midi Delay effect should work as Reverb effect for drums,. Now only Reverb is working properly. Plus it's very sad that Cut Off does not work for drum sets at all, and there's no work around for lowers (I can use Auto WAH LFO but it only for uppers and it's auto)
  5. 1st of all, you can't get a delay effect from any factory Drum Set, unless you modify and re-save it, see below (Reverb works fine) 2nd (partial quick fix) in order to make global Delay Setting work (in the Mixer or per DrumSet) one have to activate any DSP setting, EQ for ex. re-save the drum set and use it in UPPERS only in other words, no DSP affect assigned - NO DELAY, a DSP assigned - delay works but only for UPPER sections, If you select your drum set in the lowers it won't play delays (any other existing factory instrument even GM's works fine in any section Lower1,2 and so on w/o any modifications) Only drum sets are affected. 3rd (long fix, not perfect) The only way I could activate delay in the lowers is to increase Delay value per each KEY in the instrument section of a drum set. But man, every drum set, every key to change (there's no ALL option like for HEXes), plus you don't have enough user space to re-save all drum sets P.S. "CC74: Cut off" command assigned to a knob does not work on Drum Sets either
  6. Nice, I'll check them later, I don't have free user space for HEXe's I wish I could overwrite the in-built ones, most (95%) of which I don't use, But I need more space for my hexes, I don't like re-uploading them from an USB-drive.
  7. > it was always been there, you could choke the open hi-hat by pressing another key... but yeah it's not the problem , the problem is it gets choked by it self randomly no need to press another key, in other words if you hold a key it should play according to it's AMP envelope or a sample length and so on. In this case it ignores all of that and just stops playing Well I've downgraded bioses and FW on some cameras, it just depends on the developers I didn't try but there's a chance of success btw v1.10 and 1.14 has the same size in MB, so they have identical structure with some minor changes 1.15 and 1.16 on the contrary have a different (larger) size (identical), so they have more changes since 1.14 Anyway if it's larger it does not mean it's free from new bugs ) I've updated to 1.16 from 1.10 because of another bug that is similar to this, but it was more specific and affected only some User Cells in the Drum Sets Section, you can find it in my previous post So might be by fixing that bug they created a new one
  8. After updating to 1.16 from 1.10 Open hihat sound gets cut randomly (not sure if it affects other sounds, easy to reproduce on hi hats) affects all drum sets right after factory reset all piano keys are fine, you can transpose the drums and the bug will remain on another octave it's was fine (200%) on v1.10, I play drum sessions a lot, more than 30mins, just drums, usually dnb it's critical to me, probably I will downgrade, if it will allow me (downloaded all previous versions already ) I knew I shouldn't have updated
  9. Updated, the problem fixed. Thank you again. I will make a comment about Power Off functionality, not tested yet And btw it seems they also fixed the issue where you couldn't change AMP/Filter envelopes for some patches that had zero line graph (Y ) by default UPDATE: Auto "Power Off" works fine on 1.16
  10. I meant, "Auto Power Off" function. It's very convenient when it turns off after a period of time
  11. Thank you, I didn't update because some people mentioned that Sleep mode got broken after update , Do you know if it's fixed in 1.16, release notes say nothing about this? Probably I'll have to update anyway
  12. In short Drums Presets get distorted after saving into user sets even a standard one without any changes. Distortion effect depends on the drum set used or a cell selected for saving. Bypassing all effects does not help Not all cells are affected some are good for saving or at least have some minor distortions. The distortion happens only if Lower sections are used for presets. Restoring a preset from an USB stick does not help. Restarting Piano does not help.
  13. Tried to make the tones/performance close enough to original with the limited controls of the PX-560M and not very good solo sting instruments. I did't want to have 2 registrations per song, because usually you can hear some cracks while switching... Also it does not allow to control layers on lower sections (or any but the #1), otherwise it would be possible to make the performance even closer to the original regarding string sections.
  14. Hello everyone! First of all I want to thank Casio for releasing such a good piano, it's still my favourite although it has some hiccups and issues... some of them are major. the main wanted feature - DSP effects are active for all 2 uppers and lowers when splitted, or at least for higher 1 and lower 1 at once. It's very important for live performances. Now I have to pre-record some parts using Midi recorder, which works even for several different tones and DSP effects simultaneously + another DSP for the current active So I don't know why it's limited to only one part of 4 at this moment for live performances. - midi records should save Effect section per each registration used during recording, atm midi records only the very first selected and then resets it to some default value if a registration is changed during recording. There's no problem if I record wav, only with midi. - panning does not work for DSP 100% wet sounds, I have some HEX tones where I use only wet tone from DSP effects, so in that case all PAN settings do not work, Pre dsp, Post psp settings change nothing a layer PAN setting affects nothing, Mixer settings do nothing. not in some particular order - ability to add drum sounds via hex - at least one digital synth to create bases , leads, etc. no need to have sampled saw, pulse , registrations anymore - lock balance, effects, eq. between registrations , so once LOCK is pressed they are used instead of the registration settings - edit button for all layers, it's very cucumbersome now in order to edit a tone I need to load it in the 1st cell and so on - hold arpeggios by sustain pedal (not by hold setting) - rhythm buttons are too close to each other and small, on some fast performances I cannot guarantee that I push the correct button, sometimes 1 button triggers instead of the 2nd. Ideally would be good to have a midi-in command to trigger externally - ability to save the current changes of the registration to an USB drive w/o saving them above existent, it's a logical functionality I change tones, balance, etc... but I don't want to save it above the current one, I just want to save the current state to a memory card, then I can upload it to a required bank section. - fast forward within any long item menus, especially relevant to HEX/Layer editor, takes ages to go from 0 to the last or vice versa - File manager. DOS names, internal timer. Very limiting not to be able to use more than 8 chars for file names, especially then they are not dated (I can't sort them by modify or creation date, they all have the same date) I have tones of records, several per day, and that bothers a lot - editing arpeggios or add a custom one with ability to select tempo multiplier (some times this option alone would be enough), now there's not a simple repeating arpeggio without any rhythms, like LFO/Saw down, poly 1 or hard rock are the closest but they are twice as slow and have some rhythms - the touch screen is too close to the fingers, false touches happen quite often and I can't deactivate it w/o deactivating buttons. - noticeable random volume changes, some hot keys exist? ) I have some compositions where I need to change rhythm section along with playing, so some piano keys + rhythm buttons increase volume a lot (I'm 100% sure I don't touch the volume knob) I could repeat on one of my registration a lot ) usually it does not happen though - audio-in volume button is behind? ) not convenient at all - midi record loop is not gap free - hex layers of existent sounds, like piano... I have more, but don't remember right now I hope Casio will not stop releasing and developing such good instruments. you can find my videos with this piano on youtube @id_deegee this
  15. Hi all, thank's for watching that video, As for the thunder and rain, now I play it from USB stick but in that video it was added in the post because it was the first time performance, after that I've created the rain and thunder track and put it on an USB stick Also I've redone synths/registrations for that track so they have some drone sounds and now I can play it to the end,
