Dennis, I think we should all appreciate the time PianoManChuck put into making his videos....but I do understand its not that helpful hearing instruments like Bass, Guitar, Synth and strings being played in the same piano style for hearing the quality sounds. I guess until someone else makes demos of the sounds thats all we have to go on...I just took a leap of faith and bought a PX5S after owning a number of flagship synths...it should be here by the end of the week. My guess is the Bass, Guitars, Strings and Brass wont stand up to the quality of the motif/kronos/kurzweil but I hope Im pleasantly surpirised.

On a similar note, there are 100 stage settings stock in the px5s, at first glance I thought you then had another 100 user stage settings, but after watching that clinic it looks like you have to overwrite the stock sounds with your own. Is this correct? Scott

Thanks Mate, really hope they do it, would seal the deal for me. If i go second synth Id probably need something smaller that I can take as hand luggage, maybe a mininova or micron or something, hoping for firmware update though.

Hi guys, Been doing some reading before purchase, and this is one thing I found that could be a deal breaker, not being able to make a lead sound monophonic. Question for Mike, would it ever be possible to add this in future firmware updates or not? Thats or it looks like I may have to buy a small synth aswell as the PX5. On that note can you use the audio inputs on the px5s to input a second synth so you only have to run a stereo pair to the PA? Cheers Scott

One other thing Id be interested to hear, strange request but if there any decent flute or bagpipe sounds on board? I also heard casio may be updating some of the onboard samples? Is that a rumour or is it actually happening? Cheers Scott

Hi there, I am looking at purchasing the px5s for take overseas for my sisters wedding. Its lightweight and would be perfect to save on freight cost. However Ive been keeping an eye on youtube hoping some demos would come up of the sounds I need. I am happy with the piano an ep sounds. However as a previous Kronos/Kurzweil PC3 owner I would really love to hear some demos of some string sections, brass sections, and a decent demo of someone who has programmed a good hammond b3 / leslie sound. If I could get away with using the px5s that would be awesome, maybe some of you are already programmig these types of stage settings for gigging? I have also yet to find a tone list pdf anywhere, if one exists could someone send me a link? Regards Scott
