Thoroughly enjoyed reading the above, especially the ww3 close encounter, which was skillfully avoided. Rockandrolldentist & co are obviously blessed/plagued with excellent hearing. My partner is similarly blessed(!!) she spends a lot of her time worrying about various inexplicable noises in her car, which I can't hear and neither can her garage! While I drive serenely along in my Dacia Duster in splendid peace and quiet and at home enjoy the super piano sounds of my px5s. BrianH

Hi Hugh Just saw this post. I am sure you will be impressed - my brother-in-law used to fix Lonnie Donegan's car before he became famous with 'Rock Island Line', Lonnie that is, not my brother-in law! I understood that Lonnie sold the rights of RILine for a very low sum when he was skint. BrianH

Just reread above and see that you didn't get flooded personally, just the tornado scare!!!!! We get very strong winds at times here, 125mph was worst in last 10 years, that was scary enough.
-
Sorry to read about your flooding Joe - I have not had the pleasure myself, but have had family members who have and I know it is extremely upsetting. Glad you and the family are OK.

I agree Hugh, he is one of the most enthusiastic and knowledgeable of demonstrators I have seen. Makes you think if you bought one of his machines you would be able to play as well as him. -
You're right Scot, but I thought perhaps 'Pauld' might be able to get in touch with someone with a Tyros which he could sample.

Looks a little tougher than the our winters Gary. I've lived here 13 years and one Sunday morning there was enough snow on the dunes for me to get my skis out. By the time I had got everything together - it had melted! I think your right about the picture size Hugh - mine were several megabytes each - will try a resize. Sorry straying from original thread! -

Hi Florent Quelle coincedence - I actually live in Penthievre. I do windsurfing, as well as my swimming, I have promised myself a beach buggy one of these days, but I have too many toys. Best Regards Brian -

Does this help? -
The Yamaha Tyros 4 (and presumably 5) has a lot of excellent voice samples

Hi Hugh, I actually live in Southern Brittany on the Quiberon Peninsula. We get 2200 + hours of sunshine yearly, not much rain, but can be very windy at times. I am the only resident Anglais in the area - but the locals are very friendly and helpful. I think they like having a tame eccentric Anglais - I start sea swimming in March and go on until end of November. They rarely risk it before July and therefore think I'm mad. Good luck with the demonstrators gig!!! With the pictures in words painted by the other contributors above of the NJ area I would sit tight were you are. BrianH PS I tried to post a couple of pictures - but they were not allowed on the forum. What picture types are allowed? -

Nice pics Hugh. When I lived in UK I spent a lot of time in the Lake District. It is one of the few places I have been where it still looks nice when it is raining (which is fortunate, as you have plenty of opportunity to observe this phenomenon) BrianH -
Thanks, glad your back Brian

Nice one Hugh. Brian

Thanks Scott for info. I would certainly be interested in how he would tackle creating a pattern for this.

Hi Scott Please ask Mike to show, for the less adept among us, the easiest/best ways of providing ourselves with rhythm/backing for our solo efforts. BrianH

Hi Brad Sometimes wont switch on, sometimes wont switch off, sometimes switches off then straight on again. All this is intermittent. Cheers BrianH

Hi Anyone having above problem, i.e intermittent working? If so, how have you fixed it?. Cheers BrianH

Typical - an error - I noticed that SS 6 8 shows Blade Runner - it should be Gospel Organ 2. Sorry -

Well done Hugh, really enjoyed both of your efforts. It sounded as though you did also! -
I saw the postings this morning and thought perhaps Mike might be able to help the gentleman out with some Indian biased stage settings!
