Ramon, "Hoe gaat het?" Did you download the Data Manager? if you did, open it, check rhythms and drag the downloaded ones from your PC to the left part of the data manger (minimize both windows). I found that the easiest way to download to the data manger. Once downloaded, connect via USB to keyboard and move each file to the right. Veel geluk! Ger, Arizona US

1. Download Rhythms to PC either in a download file or on desktop 2. Open Casio Data Manager 3. Conncect PC to Keyboard via USB cable 4. Finds drop down menu on data manager and select Rhythm 5. Drag each rhythm from download to left side of data manager 6. Once downloaded to data manager drag each file from left to right side of data manager 7. You should see on left side numbers with either a rhythm (previously downloaded) or empty space 8. Drag new ones into empty space (watch bottom of data manager to make sure download is complete) 9. Once downloaded it should appear in User Rhythms file and shows on LED screen. You can listen to it immediately and decide if you like that, if not drag another file on top of the one just downloaded Hope this helps.

I want to upgrade from the 7500 to the 7600, but wondering if it is worth doing so. Locally I cannot try one out so I have to rely on you tube videos or someone who upgraded. I'm trying to find out if the keys are just as noisy as on the 7500. All other parameters are about the same or even better from what I hear and read. Appreciate your comments. Thanks

Silvano, I own a WK-7500 and simulated your problem. It works fine on my keyboard, no "gagging" or hick ups. It did not work well when I changed registers on the 2nd or 3rd beat of a measure. It always work well to change on the first best. Hope this helps.

Peeked in between a couple of keys using a strong LED torch. Did not see any felt strip, but noticed some white irregular material. Used a toothpick and brought up white grease with fiber strands. So your assumption is correct. There seem to be felt pieces under the keys. Why the grease, I have no clue. I better leave things alone, turn up the volume when practicing and move the instrument to a different place so my wife does not hear the clatter of the keys. It is not bothersome when performing, especially with the speakers turned on and using an amplifier. Can't have it all for the price of this keyboard.

The other day I was playing the WK-7500 using headphones. My wife interrupted me saying that I was making too much noise hitting the keys. I am finding out that after a couple of years the keys are becoming noisier. Even a slight keystroke for pianissimo is noisy. Has anyone experienced this? Can it be corrected? All my Yamaha and Roland keyboards had felt strips. Would that help?

Steve, Sweetwater is indeed a good source to buy gear. I get most of it from them including the Gator 76 gig bag. It is a little larger, but I put some rubber padding at each end (used velcro) and now I don't have to worry hitting the corners or ends. I did this with a Roland keyboard more then once, not good for the instrument. Have Keyboard will Travel seems to be your motto. Stay safe! Gerry

Amen to all the comments and Casio Kudos. Many times musicians and audience members comment on the WK-7500 and tell me that the keyboard costs at least a $1000.00. They are dumbfounded when the hear the retail price. I only wish that Casio could give a firmware update so that I can use the organ sliders on the WK-7500 the same as on the WK-7600. The 7500 is performing well and the difference between the two is minimal for my performances, but, hey, I'm willing to pay for a software update if needed. Thanks for being onboard Jokeyman! Thanks for sharing your gyrations during a recent gig. Believeme, I know how you feel. The one keyboard I owned that had a numerical pad was the Yamaha YPG-525. Good 88 keys, but lousy rhythm styles, but too big to bing to a gig. I'm with you when it comes to DJs. The public demands the same sound as the originals they hear on the radio or their IPods, there is no way we can do this on any keyboard. Just for fun I played a popular song through the audio port of the WK-7500 with my smart phone, lip synced and plunked some chords. I was praised to be such a great musician. Figures!

I am not a computer techie, I don't use any music software, I just play the WK-7500 as a keyboardist, practice everyday and have 2 gigs a week as a one man band. I don't understand any of the stuff you are all talking about, I wish I could, but am way too old for that. I do know music and how to play it. I have exhausted all the functions on the WK-7500 and I am still loving it. Now here are my small wishes: 1. A numerical pad: I have 54 midi files I used at my gigs. It is a beast trying to get to the right one using the - or + buttons. I am constantly re-arranging my SD card depending on the gig that is coming up 2. The ability to change rhythm volumes on the fly. Some styles are louder or softer then others and a one for all adjustment is just not working well 3. The ability to change individual volumes on the fly when layering without going to the mixer 4. 128 polyphony would be nice 5. A better music stand. The current one is too flimsy. I have to use a regular stand alone one 6. A few more buttons to the right of the layer/octave button that you can program with different sounds (Layer/octave etc) rights now I am using the Banl Registration buttons to switch quickly between voices, very tricky and can be disasterous 7. Any update by Casio will be appreciated. You feel abandoned once you buy the keyboard. This forum is great, but is Casio listening? Now, quit comparing the WK-7500 and other Casio keyboards to Yamahas, Rolands, Korgs and others. If you want better and or more, than you should buy one of these. But, as I have experienced with both Yamaha and Roland, they have their drawbacks too. Plus, they are very expensive. The WK-7500/7600 or 7200 fits the bill for most musicians. We just want to play music and expect the keyboard to help us do that at a reasonable price, light weight and not too many features that will never be used. Stay happy! Gerry

Thanks for your reply. I too have these old "You are the star" discs and transferred them to a SD card to us in the Casio. I have a nifty program downloaded from Skytopia.com which enables to exchange or delete, voices. The disc .arrangements are good, but not very flexible. The WK-7500 big band styles are good, no problem there. After my post I went back to the drawing board and at present tone editing Synthetic Brass and Brass with Sax. You're right, sounds to the external speakers are puny. I'm using a Fender passport amp and a mixer when I'm gigging. Not even thinking about a Tyros. Having too much fun with the Casio. Cheers!

I am old and play as a one man band for WWII vets, retirement centers, senior citizen centers and nursing homes. My wife sings all the old standards. I am using MIDI files for big band accompaniment, cutting out the piano, but I would like to use the keyboard only, it is more flexible that way. I have tried to find a good "big band" sound using tone editor and all the other goodies on the WK-7500, but not much luck. Is there anyone who may have achieved that sound? I know other keyboards do, especially the higher end Yamahas and some Rolands. Appreciate your help! Thanks

Smiggell: another way to silence the drum machine is to turn off AutoAccom, set F (rhythm) to a no data slot and voila no drum.

Sorry Guys, downloaded updated data manager and tried silvano's cat tone. I'm still getting the prompt telling me" Format File Error". I guess it may have something to do with the difference between the 7500 and 7600. So, unfortunately I have to do without the CAT tone. Thanks anyway. To turn off the drum machine: Turn off Auto and push F (user rhythms) and find a NO DATA slot, so if you push auto in error there is still no drum machine sound.

Kind of busy with gigs right now. I have the 7500 and will download data manger 6.1 over the week-end and see what happens. Let you know.

Smigell: Yes, I did exactly that, but still a prompt comes up saying File format error. Were you able download and upload to keyboard without any problems? I downloaded other files, like the Vox one to drawbar without a problem. Can't figure it out. Any help is appreciated. Geria

Silvano, downloaded and extracted the CAT zip file. Cannot download into drawbar organ via data manager. An error window pops up saying "File format Error". According to manual this means the file is corrupted. Could you please re send the zip file? Thanks, Chao

Downloaded this and played some Sambas. Great Job, can hear the Brazilian hand in this. I bet you can also do a great soft Bossa. Can you try?
