    Modwheel

Hy, just received my new PX 560m, but I wonder if there is something wrong with the modwheel , there is a resistance at the start and at the end of the action, like a small clic or friction. Is that normal ? p.s, It does not affect the result, the wheel does well what it is suppose to do sound wise. Padking
  2. Shut down everything and restarted, works OK now. Padking
  3. Hello. New member to the Casio forum, I can't download px 560 patches. I signed in but the download button seems nonactive what am I doing wrong ?????? Padking
  4. That's been asked many time, maybe Mike could do a tutorial on his next video (if there is one naturally). Padking
  5. Never had a FB account, open one only to communicate with the group, so far no problem. Padking
  6. I totally agree Pax-eterna, we are wishing here, and it's a personal thing, Mau Van seems to like the guitars... so it's impossible to satisfy everyone. So I think we will have to continue to have more than one or two or........... Padking
  7. I do agree that acoustic guitars are not that good, dont forget that the PX-5S is a stage piano with synth capability, there's not a lot of good guitar sound out there (synth) the only one I use are on my MOXF, there are some good electric sound on Korg and Roland, but acoustic, nope !, When I need a good nylon I use soft synth ( Omnisphere, Native instruments .....) metal I use my MOXF. It's mostly a sampling affair There's not enough memory space in the PX to have good acoustic sounds they did very well for the pianos sound with there new chip, but guitars, well I dont think it's a priority for Casio, and I can understand that. 8. Anybody found a dust cover for the PX, bought a gator 88 does not do the job. Padking
  9. You are repeating my post Shaneblyth ??? I understand piano_71 I just came back from the music store, I played on the MX61 for about a hour. As far as the sounds are concern, no problem, but there is a major problem for me, I wasn't aware that the the keybed was not standard, it's smaller, it's really a ''portable synth'' to bad it sound's great, but I can't get use to those small keys. So I am going to follow your advise and keep my MOXF for now. Padking
  10. Wow ! I did not verify where that offer was available, I am from Laval (Montréal) and 99 % of price cut is issue or available in the states. That's to bad, I hate when the price is dictated by frontiers, Maybe it's possible to buy on the Web. I don't know if stores like Steve music or Long&McQuad stores ship in the State ? I am considering selling my MOXF and buy a MX49 and a Korg Taktile (Triton) so I would have parts of Motif and Triton library, for almost the same price. Padking
  11. I agree concerning the guitars, they are not very good. I would like to be able to use the yes or no buttons to change stage settings it's king of a drag to have to press on bank and on numbers to change them, it work's with tones why not stage settings ? Padking
  12. If you are on a ''budget'' (aren't we all) you should give a look to the MX61/49 from Yamaha, they have +1000 sounds from the motif library, performances, arps , 128 notes polyphony......and a great price $699/$499. there's a special presently - $200/$100. It's sounds very good, there's some review on the web.... Padking
  13. Thank you guy's Padking
  14. Did you both initialize all after installing the firmware ? Padking
  15. There's a video on youtube done by Mike, tutorial for the firmware update, Mike recommends that we initialize all, to be sure that we use all the last upgrade to the tones..... When we do that, does it mean that we will return to the default set settings ? I have modify or change about 25 SS, don't want to have to do that all over again. It seem's that a ''save all'' is not the solution,Mike recommends that we save SS individually. Padking
  16. Thank you Mau Van , It was kind of weird, i will fixe that. Padking
  17. I have notice that my PX is slightly out of tune with my MOXF and software instruments the tuning on my PX is at 441.9Hz ???? but my MOXF is at 440 Hz something is wrong here. To my knowledge I'v never change the tuning settings so......? In the manual they say that tuning from 415.5 to 465.9Hz but they dont say what is the default tuning setting. Could one of you verify the tuning setting and tell me if my settings are OK. Thank you Padking

  19. I understand what you are saying Gary, it's a special feeling when you play on hardware synths, that's why I have 2 hardwares synth and one controller (MOXF/ PX /and Axiom to my Mac or Ipad) The Integra is a sensible choice as well, but 1850.00$ for a sound module ..........I dont know. There's the Korg Krome 88 nice sounds but the keybed is terrible. (feels cheap) Padking
  20. I have both, MOXF 61 and the PX. I was looking for a piano and a 88 notes controller that's why I bought the PX but for me it's important to have a synth and a piano. They do a very nice couple, you do have more sounds and more arpeggio on the MOXF. Maybe you want a 88 notes from Yamaha, the Motif XS is a good keyboard but it's discontinue, so you would have to buy a used one..... the keybed of the XS (88) is not that great. I would suggest the new cp 40 but you will spend around 2000.00$ only for a piano and some programs from the motif library. If you want a piano/synth you will have to go with the MOTIF XF 88, that's the best, if I had the money it would be my choice but 3,4000.00$ it's to much for me. There's the MOXF 88 same library (programs) has the MOTIF XF, but not a very good Keybed. ( it's not bad but surely not has good as the PX keybed ), you can ad up to 1 GIG of samples with the flash card, so you can expand. As far as Kurzweil is concern they have a good reputation but each time I try them they leave me very cold, I personally dont like the Keybed. And NORD we call them the VOLVO keyboard very good but much to expansive As far as the synth sounds are concern there's so many soft synth out there, and good DAW have a load of synth sounds (LOGIC,CUBASE) so I use my axiom 49 for other synth like Omnisphere, Sample tank (3.0 coming this month)..... I have more than enough.... but some people are allergic to soft synth and computers, I can understand that, but I had a very good experience with my MAC and those synths and more, for the last 10 years........ 21. You surely can use the phrases, but , if like me , your not to good with these ''manoeuvres'' (and a bit lazy I must admit) you can use a Ipad or Iphone (if you have one) there are many IOS software that have pads that play a chord , you can easily build you'd chords or use the uge library available. I bought 3, synth and Dr pad (Yamaha) (also do drums) Arp and Dr pad (Yamaha, only pad) Chord poly pad (this one has a big library of chords) all those software are less than 10.00$ CND, so if you have a ipad or iphone it's a cheap way ti have some great fun. All 3 work very well with the PX-5S. You can also read the post PX-5S/Ipad/drumbeat that I have started on this forum. http://www.casiomusicforums.com/index.php?/topic/5680-tx-5sipaddrum-beat/ Padking
  22. Very true, I bought over 15 keyboards since the last 20 years, and rarely was these informations missing. Honestly I don't know why Casio would keep those specifications secret ?????? It's a great keyboard and the responses from users and potentiels users are great so what the ......... Padking
  23. Bingo ! Thanks BradMZ work's like a charm ! (another sleepless night ......) Padking
  24. Sorry but what do you mean by button 9x ? Padking,
  25. Thank you BradMZ, Problem is ,when you change the drum set, in the mixer the keyboard plays it, not the midi from the Ipad. Syssettings/sound generator/Mixer part 1-16/enter/tone. then you have to use the category button to go to drum, you change de set, the category of tone is keyboard, the button yes/no will only go thru the keyboard category, you have to use the category button (drum),but the keyboard plays it. Is that the good path ? By the way I am using stage setting 0-3 illuminated. Padking
