  1. Would it be so bad if i said " that's better then 90% of the music played on the radio today" If it is, then i wont say it. I would rather listen to the tunes we make on this form then flip the switch on some top 10 radio station. Good show Rusty.
  2. I love my G1, it does more then i bargain for, at the price i payed for it. Mastered my 20 + year old Yamaha 540 to the point i could do things it simply was not destined too do. With my G1 i'm in for a good year or better before i even scratch the potential of this board. I've made a few little tunes a week or so ago (of this post -May-29-14) that i wouldn't even dare put on this form or soundcloud because the tunes are so "out there" it's not even right - Ha- ha ! But that's ok, if i keep this up much longer i'll just be another "Starving artist"
  3. And it's ONLY $4499.00. Well get 2 of them and Let me know when you'll be shipping the other one to me Gary, I'll even cover Shipping and customs to the U.S. But realistically i would like the XW-G1 to be polyphonic with more sample memory and a bit bigger screen, at least to cover most of the pages.. say pages 1-4 on one edit screen.
  4. Ivan, You could just install 6 D battery's, that way if the power goes out at all the Xw will resort to the battery as a back up, or at least it does for me on my Xw-G1 and should be the same on the P1. So if the power goes out your on Battery"s and when the power returns the it's going to run off the main power. As for what Gary said referring to: "perform a system initialize and then restore any user performances" you don't need to restore any user saved setting's as when you go to do a system initialize, you can choose to restore only the system sounds and settings and keep all user setting as i have done this 2 times and all went ok. I have the XW-G1, but i think the G1 and P1 are the same as what i listed above.
  5. You might also look at Reaper - http://www.reaper.fm/ I use the free version of Studio one - http://www.presonus.com/products/studio-one
  6. Hey Dave, This might not be too much help for you as being you have the XW-P1 already.. But As a new guy myself i would suggest picking a solo sound and playing with the oscillators For that tone for that, you know "Mad Scientist" effect. Remember to use the sliders on the G1 to master your Madness. Hope that was a wee bit of help, if not then I'm glad your still SANE.(unlike myself) This is a good video Mike M. did that if you haven't seen would be a good view.
  7. Op's, i'll have to work on that.. My bad
  8. Please disregard this post. Thank you Larry Omaga.mp3
  9. Thank's Scott. Will Mike have a G1 or P1 along with the 5S ? I'll be online if i can regardless.
  10. I love Spacey Music and the XW-P1/G1 is great for this kinda music. Don't stop now you're off to a great start !
  11. Ben, i like the off beat that comes almost full cricle. Now that's metronome abuse in a good way.
  12. I love it Rusty, give me that "Old school feeling" Larry
  13. And Echo'ooo's For me, I stayed Home and keep it Small. 1m:30s https://soundcloud.com/larrball/the-runner
  14. Well I'm no pro Scott and I'm not going to sell the farm. (Crash that computer ,and your done But we will try one anyways) I like a bit of work for my music, It shows integrity and passion for the time i took to "do it(my)your self" I'd let my son play it, im too old to reprogram. HA! Larry
  15. Thank's scott, i don't watch T.V. so i do not know what the X-files show is all about. I hope it's a good show. I would like to hear it on the P5 you have, with the new sound morphing it has would be a a great video to watch. Larry
  16. Thank's scott, I don't thank there is any file that has a 'X' i did however use a '.zss ' and '.zsc ' for the seq.
  17. Thank's XW-Addict. I found out why it didn't work. My brand new mic is not working/defective as i tried the talkbox with a different sound source and it worked. Look's like i need a mic (that works) now.
  18. Andy i don't know if this might help, but it's worth a try and it's free. (no nag screen's ether) I've used this clean up tool for about a year with no problems. It's worth a look. Jet clean. http://www.bluesprig.com/jetclean.html Larry
  19. Thak's guy's. Gary, this is my 2ed keyboard my Yamaha 540 is kinda old and i never was able to get it to work with a DAW. The G1 is really easy to use at least i thank so. The only thing i cant get it to do is the kinda "robot" voice like Mike Martin did in the last ustreem. It's got to be some effect on tone U:99 ? , but heck i doin't know what im doing. I need a step by step for that.
  20. So i put this "TlkbXRobot.ZSY" in tone [ U: 099] ? What do i need to do now? And thank you for your help. the book that comes with this XW is O.K. but .. well not the best I've read.
  21. What i did after only one week with a XW-G1. (4-2014) I used the G1 right out of the box and recorded with Audacity. Now it's not much, but only after 5 hours (one week for me) https://soundcloud.com/larrball/easy-leasing The wisler.mp3
  22. As a new owner of a G1 i was looking for a used one for the last 30 days (march 2014) for a best price. No go. But i found a new one at Kraft Music in a bundle that was on sale. I will say that the XW's seem to hold there value as it's been, what 2 years? and the price drop is not much. People just don't want to sell them, and i cant blame them. I love my G1 and it's not that im a new owner, it's that it's a different kind of board then all the others i've played with. It's fun, easy to navigate and can really dish out some custom sounds with out a lot of legwork.
