My PX set up, the usb speakers are Alesis with sound card built in, that way I don't need another piece of hardware in my house. Also I went to local Perspex fabricator and made a longer music rest which just sits on top of the casio one

Freaky, post man delivered new plug this morning, so I switch on with original plug still in and hurrah it booted up. I am thinking there is a fixed time delay for the plug to recover if it automatically switched off because you leave in stand by for weeks on end. New ebay plug also ok, any buyers for it!!!!!!

Thanks all, ive ordered ac.dc adaptor from fleabay so we see how it goes. I have left the px on standby for a while so I hope the power switch is ok

I managed to get a reading of 5v at the pin, but why would this not be 12v??

I have a tester but not sure how to get the probes down the adapter pin. is the outside of the pin negative and the inside little pin positive. I get a small flicker on the monitor but not 12v?

Hello all You can take a tone out of px560 and it saves as a .wav file on usb stick. Is it legal to use that file in a sampler such as Kontakt5 and then create a vst file from it, in this case it would be a Kontakt .nki file when processed.??

why doesn't anyone thank casio for finally allowing naming of registration files, this is included in v1.14 There were lots of people wanting this. You can now save and personally name the file to usb stick in the front

For me the best update because it finally allows you to name a registration, although you have to save it to usb it is better than nothing. You could not do this in original versions and Casio advised " use pen and paper" which is kind of pathetic

Hello all Can you use the cs67 stand without the pedal board attached? ie can you still plug a portable sustain pedal in the back

We need firmware update to name registration settings, having to write them on paper is stupid

assuming you have some amplification from sc to monitors

just get a sound canvas cheap on ebay and hook it up to midi, midi out from px560 and in to SC, set midi channel u want ( upper tone 1 = 1 , upper tone 2 - 2 ) and match on SC and there you go, much easier !!! for what u want

Hi all, many thks for your kind replies, I think I will try and be more familiar with the px560 hex layer creation, and, as I said I do have many vst etc On the Whitney ep,s there is the faint metal click on key down, which I have on some samples but they don't just seem the same at the high end of the keyboard as per the original songs, maybe ill try EQ ing it at the high freq. Jokeyman, there is some plug in software called Dexed , try downloading it on to your pC and then hook up via yr audio interface and SY77 , you can see all the DX,s syx files , if you are into the 70,s 80,s ep sounds youll love it=== thks

Hi ALL anybody got really good version of the Whitney Houston EPIano,s as played in Saving all my Love , Greatest Love of All etc. These are the best, I think they were done on Yamaha DX7 type synths,( still to be bettered ???? ) I do have some good VST's but I'm always looking for better PX560 format ZLT or ZRM cheers

There is a way to remember a registration if you do the save all command. In the registration save all it allows you name the save all file as a total file of 24 banks x 4 user areas. Therefore if you cant be arsed writing down each of your user area registrations for your playing the easy thing to do is save each one in bank 1 area 1 and do a save all naming the file what you want. Downside of this of course is if you have say 20 favourite performance registrations you would have 20 save all files named on your usb stick, and load each one to play separately. I have worked for 2 international Japanese companies and I can say the hours we spent in continuous improvement meetings took precedence to improve product, I cant think for the life in me why casio omitted the user area file name operation??

Yes , midi cc 11 expression can be transmitted to connected midi equipement, ie computer vsts, sound module etc It work with M Audio pedal I found from old kit in my garage , very lucky , In the case the px560 midi implementation chart is misleading us, because it says NO for cc11 transmit, but there is a footnote at bottom of page saying all cc numbers can be set in the controllers?

Ive had ctks, px350 and now the px560, safely assure the px560 satisfies all I I wanted from a portable piano, sounds, hex layers, and midi control to my computer for vsts However, I did download the casio and user created sound files from this site and its quite simple to load into the px560. What I cannot work out is why the name of the ZRM file on the usb stick will not move over to the user location selected in the px560, eg Bank 1 area 1, 2, 3 Bank 2 area 1, 2, 3 and so on? The tone files do exactly this, but not registration files? Is this a problem with my unit, I'm running latest update 1.10?

doesn't anyone know about midi transmit expression ? Please can someone who uses either vst's or external sound modules see if the expression pedal transmits on the external voicing
