  1. Why not just make it an actual podcast, perhaps as well as a downloadable file?
  2. We could create a Classifieds or similar area here, but I don't know how useful it would be.
  3. To be honest, I don't know. I haven't been using the Data Editor much lately.
  4. Oh, you're right. It's been a while since I registered. The additional question has stopped all spammers on some forums that I admin. Too bad it doesn't do that here.
  5. I wonder what this was about. Oh well. Let us know if you (the OP) want this thread deleted.
  6. "Get to it"? There are a few moderators or admins here, I guess I'm first on the scene. Fortunately, it took one click to flag that user as a spammer and it seems all 100 posts immediately get nuked. That was cool. Let us know if you still see anything. I think we should have some better control to prevent spammers from joining, but I don't think I'm high level enough to install that.
  7. How do you know the MacBook Pro recognizes the connection from the PX 150? Have you ever used any other keyboard to control GarageBand before? I do it all the time with my PX-5S. I just plug it in with USB, turn the volume down from the outputs of my PX-5S, turn it up on my MacBook Pro, and play. You do need to select the track in GB to get the keyboard to play that instrument.
  8. I'm sure if the Roland pedal will work, it has to be in Switch mode, not Continuous. Make sure the pedal is plugged in and you're not pressing it when you turn the keyboard on. I think you'd have to upload your video to YouTube and then post the link to the video here.
  9. Some people have taken to marking the volume knob with something like a paint pen. The sockets on the back do have raised lettering, are you looking for something else? I have this trouble too. You could color the raised lettering with a marker or something similar.
  10. Does it happen when the power adapter is disconnected from the MacBook? IIRC, some have found that's where the ground loop is. I know with bus-powered devices that's not really a solution, but it would answer part of the question though.
  11. And I've just realized Lester Burnham is not his real name. Yes, sometimes it's years before I finally see a movie. This one was just last night.
  12. I wouldn't think there should be those kinds of problems with the 350. Maybe you should try resetting it (there should be instructions how to do that somewhere, either here on the forums, at the Casio web site, or in the manual).
  13. Put the PX5SALL2.ZAL file in the MUSICDAT folder on your USB drive. Insert the USB drive in your PX-5S and hold the Media button until the display says "Mounting Media". Select "Load" and press Enter (these first three steps are exactly the same for Stage Settings). Select "All Data" (it's the last option in the list) and press Enter. You should see PX5SALL2.ZAL. Press Enter like it says and you should be good to go.
  14. Good question. It turns out that I didn't know either and had to figure it out.
  15. I wish I knew. I don't use Logic enough to know if it can do that, nor have I played with that sort of aspect of the PX-5S to know where that might be on it. Hopefully someone will pop their head in here and respond. Have you searched online generally for something like "Logic filtering sustain on MIDI output"?
  16. Do you have some other keyboard you can control the PX-5S with? You could play it and see if the PX-5S responds to the sustain pedal from the other keyboard.
  17. I'm not sure if you're saying that the PX-5S isn't seeing the sustain coming from Logic, or if when playing software instruments in Logic controlled by the PX-5S they're not sustaining when the pedal was pressed during playback of the track. Logic can show MIDI events so you should be able to see the value of the pedal throughout the track.
  18. Yeah, the Power Station was the side of DD I tended to prefer. OTOH, my wife liked the Arcadia stuff better!
  19. Sorry, I don't use Logic enough to know. I suspect that with some web searching, you might find your answer. It might be buried here, or lead you to it. http://www.logic-users-group.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6755
  20. Another option might be to tell it to filter out the unwanted data. I'm sure there's a way to do it, even though I don't know offhand. For instance, this video is for Logic Pro X but it might lead you to how to do it in your version. http://logic-tips.com/midi/logic-pro-x-video-tutorial-31-midi-input-filter.html
  21. I don't think you have to select MIDI port in GB on the iPad. At least, I have never done that on mine. I don't think app expects you to have to make a "complicated" choice like that.
  22. I went to Summer NAMM when it was in Austin a few years ago, and it hardly had any keyboard companies. IIRC, all I saw was Roland and Hammond. I was into both of them at the time so that wasn't bad. Now that Casio is going, I'd love to go. It's also cool that Casio puts on these events as well. Someday I will go...
  23. Even though Summer NAMM was in July, this was just posted on Aug 12. I think you guys will enjoy the segment with our friend Mike Martin. http://blog.musicbusinessradio.com/2014/08/episode-189-summer-namm-2014-part-1.html
  24. I just got mine the other day. I registered a while back, but I don't recall when. I believe they are sent in batches, so if you're not in this batch, you should be in the next one. I cannot say when that will be.
