  1. Hey Joe, Thanks for the help! I have actually already tried what he covers in this video. The concept makes sense, but it doesn't let you perform a "fine tuned" filter. It only allows you to filter out CC info. So when you do turn on the CC filter you loose the sustain pedal completely. The midi input filter doesn't seem to get down to the level that I'm after. If I could filter out channel two then it might be the solution. I must be overlooking something. I'm a piano player and sort a newbie when it comes to electronic music and midi instruments. I have tried chaining the channel that the midi instrument is set to, but it always records to channel 1 regardless. Can anyone help me set a midi instrument to a specific channel in Logic 9 as Mike recommended above? I can't seem to change it. Maybe I'm not understanding the principles. It might help me find the answer if I can at least get that part figured out. I know that this ins't a Logic forum, but maybe someone has the same issue. Thanks, Joe
  2. Hi Mike, Thanks for the response. I have found one area in Logic where you can define the channel, but it doesn't change this behavior. If you area familiar with Logic can you tell me the best way to make sure that I have it set up correctly? By default, the Midi channel in the inspector column is set to "any" I have tried setting that to 1. No change. I have gone into preferences>Midi but I don't see anything there to define the channel setting, I have gone under settings>Midi, and there is nothing there. I would think that it would be found in the transform area, but it's not there either. Any help would be great. Thanks, Joe
  3. Hi, I have a CDP-120 that I am using with the latest version of Logic 9. When recording, all of the notes and sustain pedal CC info can be correctly found in the Media Region / Events list on channel 1. For some reason, the sustain pedal CC info is being duplicated on channel 2 at the exact same location (measure & beat) as seen on channel 1. The end result is a very messy Events list with extra CC info that doesn't need to be there. Is there a way to manage the channel settings on this instrument? Thanks, Joe
