  1. Thank you BradMZ. I am aware that the main v2.5 is the latest one. And I believe that the previous versions are there for those who want to revert to an older edition of a setting(s). And that's where it gets confusing with all these duplicate releases. The changelog is also confusing as it shows 4 consecutive releases of v2 and v2.1 that read "No changes have been recorded in this version" what's the point, and where can I find the All File for the default settings that came with the PX5S?
  2. On the right hand side of the download page for "PX-5S Updated ALL File v2.5" there is a list of Previous Versions that lists 3 versions of "v.2.5 ALL FILE" plus one that reads "ALL FILE 3", all dated 30 sep 2013. Shouldn't the latest version be something like v2.6 or v2.5.1 or 2 or 3, and what is the "ALL 3" download file? Does the 3 stand for version 3 and if not, what does the 3 stand for? I am not trying to be difficult, I simply want to be able to understand the numerical sequence of the updates. I see that there are also multiple copies of "ALL File 2.1" and "ALL file 2", with no"v" attached. If these are all different versions, shouldn't they be labelled accordingly and with a consistent format in order to be able to trace a specific file? Thank you.
  3. Thank you pianomax. I can't believe what I'm reading, this basically renders these inputs almost useless. And one of the reasons that influenced my decision to buy the PX-5S was that it has an audio in and a line in which I thought, as other members have written, would eliminate the need of a mixer with my audio interface, bummer . Also judging by Mike Martin's reply going back to Aug. 2013, this issue is not about to be resolved. Well, it's time to pull out the old Yamaha mixer. Btw, I did extensively search the site for a forum addressing this issue before starting a new topic. It just didn't occur to me to look under filters. Thanks again.
  4. I turned off the compressor with no result. But upon further testing, I've discovered that the "audio in" signal is affected by the changes that I make in the EQ settings of my stage settings. So how can I get the incoming signal to bypass the EQ?
  5. How is this done? I have gone to Effect/Master and entered Compressor Edit but there is no on/off setting. I tried adjusting the "Level" parameter to "0" but that cuts off all the audio output!
  6. How can I can I keep the input signal clean, i.e. not affected by different stage settings?
  7. Ok, now I get it. I was looking for an actual "melody" category. Thanks for your help and patience, it's much appreciated. Cheers
  8. Thank you Scott, I did locate Mike Martin's Accordion MM file which led me to more accordion downloads under "other files you may be interested in..". I also found a workable fiddle patch in Synth/Various: 061 GM Fiddle. You mention "THE LEFT HAND side of the control panel", where do I find this control panel? Btw, I've only had my Px-5s for less than a month and I have not yet installed the editor or used any of the on line patches. Am I to assume that that is where I will find the control pannel?
  9. Hi, I play a lot of Scottish, Irish and country style type of music and I just can't find any suitable tones in the PX-5s, I own a WK-6500 that has several accordion, harmonica and violin/fiddle patches that are well suited for these styles of music. However when I decided to upgrade my keyboard to the PX-5s I was quite dissapointed by the lack of such patches. I think that the stage settings are a great idea but not very usefull for me, without the aformentioned types of sounds Could someone tell me if such patches exist and if so, where I can find them. Thanks Btw, I do love my Px-5s, it is an awsome keyboard.
