I have a follow up. I'm running my Casio PX-5S with both line outs to a Behringer Europower Mixer. Both line outs go into channel 15/16 which allows me to control the whole sound with one knob. I think go from the Mixer to a Bose L1.
Electric pianos and organs sound amazing through headphones but are quiet and not as warm/vibrant through this set up. It's also very quiet. Any suggestions?
Thank you - that was much better. Lag was significantly less and I was able to add a bass line and then slightly adjust all the notes at once for timing.
Much appreciated!
Is there a way to record a song or a phrase to a midi file? And is there a way to transfer it to the thumb drive?
What I'm trying to do is record bass lines to go with a beatbuddy drum loop within reaper. When I tried to record directly from the PX-5S to reaper on my PC, the lag was too much.
Thanks so much. I set it up and can see why the bar is needed. As Rowboat pointed out, it's not ideal for ease of transporting but it only adds a few minutes to packing up.
Morning, I just purchased the Casio CS-67 stand for my PX-5S for my home. Fits perfectly and looks a lot nicer than the x stand I was previously using. One question - what is the purpose of the metal bar that attaches across the bottom of the PX-5S when using the CS-67? It doesn't seem to support the keyboard much. I use a table top stand when gigging and I don't really want to take the bar off each time I pack the PX-5S away. Thanks for your help.
No internal straps. Fits but I wouldn't call it snug. There's a little wiggle room compared to what I've had in the past. Nothing to worry about though.
I use the Casio Privia case. Works perfectly for me but I only bag it up from home to the car. Padding is perfect for this purpose, very similar to the gator cases I've had. If I were to take it on a train, I'd probably want a hard case.
Do you have a picture of where it attaches? I have the attachment bar on my x-stand and it goes through one of the support bar holes (also one for the iPad that goes over the hole). I don't see where that would fit in the table stand.
Thanks so much - I've been very impressed with the PX-5S so far. If the weather cooperates, I'll try it out live tonight! Again, I appreciate your help and will join the facebook group too!
