  1. Thanks, Brad. Now I got into trouble a few minutes ago by accidentally recording over the first measure of a song that has 3 tracks. I don't want to record over this measure, I just want to delete the extra notes, but they appear on every track, possibly because I recorded it over the whole song. I tried re-recording over each track, but those extra notes are heard each time -- apparently, they are not part of any track, but of the whole song.
  2. I recorded a single-track song on Song Recorder and now I want to edit a few unrelated measures. I don't see anywhere in the manual (E-39) where I can start and stop within the same song to record over different sections without starting the whole song over each time, or worse, deleting the rest of the song unintentionally. Thanks, Jo
  3. I have the same problem. I record a multi-track song using the song recorder. The thumb drive is installed and mounted. I press Fxn + song recorder and pick Song #1 but when I press Audio Record it does not light unless I exit the song I wanted to load to flash drive. Any help appreciated, Jo PS - Ne'mind -- I thought the song had to be displayed while loading, but apparently it does not. Thanks, anyway.
  4. Jokeyman, Thanks so much! I learned how to change the volume in Audacity if I ever need to, following your note and the link you sent. What I finally realized is that I was playing my songs back on my laptop using internal speakers and of course the volume was low. So I got the bright idea to play them on my husband's PC which has small but powerful external speakers, and Voila! All the volume I needed and more. I so appreciate your being on this forum and I know you have the expertise if I run into trouble again. Jo
  5. Thanks again! If this will help the playback on my other devices, that is what I need.
  6. Thanks, Jokeyman, the playback from the keyboard is actually fine. It only plays back softer when using the flash drive in my computer to play back the songs on Groove or Windows Media. I transferred them to Dropbox and that seemed a bit better, but not as full as I would like. I would be happy to learn how to increase that playback, if you can tell me how.
  7. Okay, I decided just to record on my Privia PX-350. It worked great except when I play it back, the volume is extremely soft. Not sure how to increase the playback volume, everything is set to maximum volume. I tried to upload a file but it failed. Anyway, do I have to play everything fortissimo to get any sound from the playback?
  8. Yes, put in AUDIO folder, formatted flash drives on the keyboard. My files started out as 3gp files as I used my Android phone to record as I think the volume was too low when I recorded internally on Casio with flash drive. I converted mp3 files to wav files with Convertio, a really easy freeware program to use. I don't need lots of bells and whistles, just wish the stupid thing would do what the manual says it should do. Today I am formatting another flash drive and will record internally. I think the pastor of the church will burn the files to CD and hope that works, since for some reason the church sound system does not have a USB port. Thanks again, stay safe. Jo PS - I meant 3gp files converted to wav files
  9. I actually did try another drive, same results. You may be right that it is the USB port. I know PX-350 can be touchy sometimes.
  10. Thanks, Star, but that did not work, either. I know my flash drives are fine as they play on other devices, and when I record from Casio to flash drive, that song always plays back. I was trying to record songs for a church that is closed right now, as the pastor is videotaping his sermons. If I can't get it to work on my Casio, I doubt that it will work on our Clavinova USB port at the church. I even tried dowloading a file from Freesound, which worked for me fine when I played a show a few years ago, but now is not recognized. Sigh.....🙄
  11. Yes, I already did that but the only file that will play is the one I recorded from the Casio. The other files still show the error message. Thanks for trying to help. I have never had trouble with external .wav files before. I had already changed the file to 16-bit earlier, but when I loaded it again, it said 32-bit.
  12. Okay, where on this page are the export format settings?
  13. I have 5 songs, 4 of which I had on my flash drive, all in .wav format - they were all 32-bit, so I downloaded Audacity and changed everything to 16-bit, etc., and exported to my flash drive. The fifth song was one I had recorded on the Privia 350 and loaded to the flash drive, but that was in 32-bit format. That is the only song that will play. All the others are listed but when I press "play" I get the error message "ERR WRONG DATA." Is there any hope? I have lots of time, still trying to avoid COVID-19 in Florida. Thanks!
