  1. Brad: Yes, I have thoroughly tested it. I can hit velocities above 120 if I smash the keys hard with my fingers. I sprain fingers easily, so no thanks. And yes, I have it set to the light touch setting.
  2. I sent my PX5S off to Sweetwater for repair thinking they could fix the velocity to midi problem: they found nothing outside of normal specs for this keyboard and sent it back to me. My local sounds have a decent velocity response-- it's only the VSTi's I play in my Windows 8.1 laptop can't reach any samples above a midi velocity of 110 without slamming the keys and spraining my fingers. When I press the virtual keys with a mouse click in Kontakt 5 or Addictive Keys, I get nice loud samples at the bottom of the keys. I never can play these samples from the PX5S and get a range that lack dynamics. The sad thing is, I also have this problem with my Yamaha CP33. --- Jim
  3. It was only set wrong on the 0-0 ConcertGrand stage setting. I switched on the Stage Setting--Zone Edit--Controller Edit--Wheel Enable. All the other stage patches are set correctly, but I always run my vsti's off the 0-0 patch on the PX5S. --- Jim Green
  4. Inside stand alone versions of SampleTank 3 and Kontakt 5, the virtual pitch wheel moves but the mod wheel does not. The same problem is happening inside my daw (Sonar Platinum) I have Windows 8.1 in my Lenovo Y580 laptop-- my midi connection is with usb 2.0. The mod wheel works for internal stage sounds in the PX5S. It is just not sending midi data to my computer. It must be something simple I am missing. -- Jim Green
  5. Problem fixed. I had 2 zones turned on at a new stage setting I was staying on. That was sending 2 midi signals to my vsti, causing the phasing effect. I'm new to the PX-5S and I have a lot to learn about it
  6. When using the PX-5S as a midi controller and playing Addictive Keys on my Windows 8 laptop, I'm getting a phasing effect-- like two copies of the piano sound are playing at the same time. I've gone into System Settings/MIDI and changed local on to "off", high resolution out to "off", and other midi settings that should not matter. I'm using a midi out cable to my Nativie Instruments Komplete Audio 6 interface. There is no midi "in" cable going into the PX-5S and I don't have usb connected at all. I use Sampletank 3 vsti using the same setup and don't have this problem. I have even re-installed Addictive Keys and that didn't fix it. Also, if I play the virtual keyboard in the software with my mouse clicks, the notes sound properly, but playing the same notes with the PX-5S brings back the phasy sound. Thanks for any solution to this.
