  1. Thank you Scott, that explains a lot... Direct record may be a useful feature for future products? Anyway, I guess the best workaround would be to record midi, edit, play midi on PX-5s and record via USB-stick. If anyone has a better solution I'd be happy to hear it!
  2. Hi all, I am trying to record the PX-5s in Cubase. The method I use works with my Yamaha MX-61 synth: Create midi layer Play (Record midi) Edit sound, tones, whatever settings Play midi on PX-5s and record in sound layer Normalize sound layers and export as sound/music file. Now on the PX-5s I tried the same. I loaded the patch list (see downloads section) in cubase, and am able to control the tones. However, step 4 does not work. When I play the midi, it does play on the PX-5s, but it is not possible to make a sound recording of this. Equipment: PX-5S is updated to firmware v1.13 and connecteed via USB Cubase LE AI elements (64 bits) Windows 7 on PC with sufficient specs. Do you have experience on recording sound via USB-host connection?
