  1. I did some research it seems like PX150 should be fine on Windows 10 without any additional installation of the driver. Let us know how it goes.
  2. Sell your new computer. Rollback to Windows 7. (kidding) Seriously, Windows 10 required drivers to be certified. However, it could be possible that you will be able to use a generic driver (PX x60 does it ). I do not have PX 150 so I cannot provide a straight answer. PX 360 work without any problems on Win 10 with USB 2.0, 3.0 or 3.1. Try to connect you PX to iPad(phone) or Android. If it works with these devices then it supposes to work with Win 10, at least through USB 2.0 (if it works with USB 2 I do not see why it souldn't work with USB 3 and up). Unfortunately, PX150 does not have direct MIDI so you cannot use an external USB adapter. I know it is a bummer.
  3. XW-P1. Since you are not a piano guy. You want more organ keys action, plus bars. Glissando on PX5 would feel not as comfortable for a hand as on XW. However, it more looks like Hammond would the best chose (some SK)
  4. You are right. Why do you need then PX5S? just kidding
  5. Get two MIDI cables. Use direct-reversed connection, so you can control from each keyboard the other one.
  6. This Casio. This is good people ! ;)
  7. I know what you talking. This is a Casio feature (No redundancy) However, the touch screen is pretty reliable - mine works for 3+ years without problems.
  8. I have a similar experience but with Privia. (I was hoping that Cevliano is better ) All my family members were very unhappy about the mechanical noise it makes. It is interesting that most of the noise the keys make on their way up after they released. I changed the keyboard because of this problem several times. The best result I got with Roland keyboards (note: it feels slightly slower). I tried Korg and Yamaha(different kinds). Better than Casio but not as quiet as Roland. I did not try Kawai. I know it has great quality, but I do not have any idea about how quiet it is.
  9. I agree It is not loud enough. You may use DAW to adjust the level of your audio.
  10. Just a few days ago I have experienced exactly the same problem - floating pitch of a note during sustain.
  11. I would not expect too much water resistance from CDP Casio does make some water resistant products you can try TRT110H-1A2V.
  12. I have reported a few concerns regarding Privia and virtually never posted something that I do like about it. There is one feature I like on PX-360 in particular but I think many other models support it as well. I am talking about simultaneous playback of MIDI file and recording Audio. This is a very nice feature which adds a convenience. Recently I had some recordings in my DAW and wanted to have it recorded by PX. The problem that PX is sitting in the garage and I did not want to move things around to connect a laptop to PX. The production curve was: 1) convert the song in DAW to MIDI file. 2) Plug the memory stick with the song in to PX. 3) load the song. 4) Hit the play MIDI button and start the audio recording. (I skip all manipulations with the mixer and assigning voices to tracks. ) Why I tell about this. Just want to experience my appreciation for the great design of very intuitive, easy to use UI and good quality of everything else.
  13. I noticed that the same link from reverb opens differently on different platforms. For instance, it opens the video clip when started on Windows and iPhone. On my iPad it just opens video section(that is odd since it works on iPhone correctly) of my account on reverb. The attached mp3 file opens as a live stream on iOs and it did not play well for me. It was skipping and jumping from one place to another. On Windows, it just downloads the file which can be played back in Media Player without any problem.
  14. My initial plan was to put side by side Montage and Privia versions of the same piece. The Montage version was published first. In addition, I attached a midi file and left it here(so anybody could take it and make its own variation) while was preparing Privia version. Later the midi file was removed. If you want to try to make your own version I can put my midi file again.
  15. As I said so far so good. Once it will happen again I make a short recording.
  16. Sergio, Did you get the midi file? If so could publish your version of the mastering (just right here if you wish).
  17. So far so good. But I am still worried since it has happened. I left PX on for ~24 hours. Minimized sympathetic resonance, hammer, pitch bend controller set to 0. Looks like the pitch-floating disappeared. It was happening after a couple of seconds of sustain on any note.
  18. There is the version played on PX 360. Compare which one is better :) Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy PX360.mp3
  19. Thank you Brad! This is so nice of you (reviewing and commenting on all of those issues) Appreciate it a lot! It is possible that some dust collected on the potentiometer(a note: the instrument is covered with a protective cover all the time while it is not in use. I will see whether the issue is related to the wheel or not and share the results.
  20. Thank you for the information! It is great, I will check whether the settings will help to avoid the problem.
  21. This Privia was not used much. 90% of those 3 years it was sitting under the desk and served as a sound bank.
  22. I hope you are right. We will see how it goes ... I can set the setting for Pitch Bend Wheel to 0 to turn it off. For me, a bad capacitor is a more rational explanation.
