  1. I think it is possible.
    1) USB to Computer.
    2) Computer audio output to PX-360 Line-In.
    3) Use Balance menu to make an adjustment. Keep the line-in up, you can turn the rest of parameters down(at least turn down Upper 1)
There are other ways how to set it up. I am sure you will find more than 2 ;)

    Some comments:
pianoteq is a cool thing, with many buts. In my opinion PX 360 itself is better (in terms of bank of sounds).
The polyphony of pianoteq cannot keep up with some passages.
We(i and my friend) were surprised when we found this problem.

If you do want some improvements get Integra 7 or Sound Module from Nord for instance. In addition software based sound modules have some "hidden" issues, when you start thinking about integration with real-time tutoring systems and DAW (this is not obvious). Think twice.

PianomanChuck may be he is a good musician(I do not have any idea how good he is), but his review about PX 360 is barely touching the surface.
M Martin makes a really good videos with a lot of details. It would be great to see his session dedicated to PX-360.

In terms of lessons I would recommend pianomarvel.com(it is not an advertisement, I just truly like this software ) which is by far better than anything else on the marker of the online tutoring.

  2. 2Scott Hamlin.

I do not notice the noise when using headphones as well:)

    2BradMX

    You are missing the point.

The idea to use headphones to do not disturb people around you does not work with Privia. It is so, because the noise of the keyboard (mechanical noise) is loud and creates more problems than if you just play music at the same sound level.
    Overall the noise is loud.
I want to understand whether there are other digital pianos which solve this problem better than Privia.

  3. Casio customer support - could not reproduce the problem (as expected).

Workaround - reset to factory settings.(note: reset does not touch personal data, which is good)

I suspect the problem appeared after manipulating with settings from DAW. The default control panel (in DAW) provides access to much wider list of parameters than PX 360 provide through its own UI.

  4. I will try (2Joe Muscara).
But it does not make any difference since it is clearly a malfunction.
(I tried to adjust system settings to see whether it may help to improve the performance of the device. So far no lick).

Do you have PX-360? Can you try to follow the steps and let know whether you get the same results.

So far it looks like nobody(on this forum) has PX-360 in possession, since nobody has confirmed nor disproved the problem.

Please reply whether you experience the same problem. I want to understand how common this issue is.

  5. I insist that it is a bug. Very major one.

    Try the following:
    1) Turn on PX 360.
    2) Go to Rhythm menu.
    3) Select "PIANO BALLAD 1" (It is within Piano Rhythms)
    4) Turn "One Touch".
    5) Turn "Accomp" On.
    6) Play any chord (lower part of keyboard).
    7) Press Normal/Fill-in.
Result: The sound stops and then resumes within a second or so.
The Beat counter is also stops and then speeds up to catch up with the correct value.
The Beat counter clearly indicates the malfunction.

Fill-in in some other rhythm styles works better when sustain or sostenuto pedal is pressed down and hold (which is not suppose to be a part of equation).

I am not trying to bring PX-360 down, I would happy to accept your explanation(2tnicoson) but it simply a weak implementation of the fill-in functionality.

Does anybody can reproduce the issue as it described above?

  6. What's the difference between "preset rhythms" and "music presets"?

Music presets contains chords progression (user may create and save its own one).

Preset rhythms - It is a rhythm pattern and set of instruments.(user may adjust setting of instruments set only - In the other words it is a customization for the system track).

  7. Use "Punch In Sync" to apply mixer setting to a track.

I found a solution for the subject. The following recording modes cannot be used to achive desired results: New, Re-Recording, Punch InA-B.

There are steps(for those who met the same issue):

    1) Turn on PX-360

    2) Call MIDI Recorder from "MENU" screen.

    3) Select the MIDI data(previously recorded) or record anything the any solo track (for instance track 2) but system (system normally used for backing/rhythm).

    4) Click record button "circle".. The button starts blinking.

    5) Select the solo track (track 2 for instance) you want to modify.

    6) Set recording mode "Punch In Sync"

    7) Go to Mixer page.

    8) Select port C

    9) Adjust setting for the port with the same number as selected solo track (in my example 2).

    10) Push sustain pedal to start recording and stop recording right away.

    11) Playback the solo track. It should has new settings.

    The UI is awful.

The touchscreen itself does not solve any logic problems.

I do hope Casio will release some update for UI.

  8. Could you please try it youself and let us know your results.  I am not sure about details.

There are at least four modes of MIDI recording. Can you provide step by step instructions what to do.

However I already tried to move in this direction. I did a lot testing. So far there is no workaround for the issue.

Seems like they(Casio) just missed this problem.

I would like to hear official response from Casio.

I have reported about this problem to Casio customer support. Will see what they say.

  9. Have Casio PX-360 with default factory settings.

    1) Call MIDI recorder.

    2) Record to track 1 some melody.

    3) Call Mixer.

    4) Go to Port C page and make adjustment of any parameter for part 1(Instrument 1)

for instance change Volume to 50.

    5) Push the play MIDI button.

Results:  After step 5 the Volume value resets back to the one as it was set during recording.

Is it suppose to work that way?

I want that adjusted values would stay for Port C instruments upon start of MIDI playback.
