I bought it at Christmas, there must not be many older around, someone had to replace a knob but no one can have it for a long time, it's a new product, introduced in summer 2015 at NAMM I had a PX-310 for 8 years before the PX-560 and nothing deteriorated

I shall say Thank you Berk5 I exploited his suggestion to use white noise... it is just a creature that by far resembles a train but it's what I wanted to do: to build it without external samples

I bought a brand new Alesis SR-16 Drum Machine, though the unit was invented 20 years ago, it still has some nuances that make you feel it more realistic than the mechanical rhythms of the PX-560M, the Alesis fill-ins are charming http://www.alesis.com/products/view/sr-16 as for audio example http://www.vintagesynth.com/misc/sr16.php

Ok, sorry for posting, I found this post therefore I ask, BradMZ: Why cannot it be fixed? please, ask Casio, we want to exploit that sort of a sequencer

New firmware update request: Port C able to send MIDI out See scheme on the manual @ page 101, go to Mixer screen, the PX-560M sends MIDI out on Port A to an other MIDI device both the channel that you play real time and also the rhythms tracks but MIDI Recorder, that plays on Port C, does not send MIDI out while I would like to play a track with an other MIDI instrument Note: I already know that I could send MIDI by a computer through a MIDI multi Port and split the tracks between the PX-560M and the other MIDI device, so, please avoid answers of the kind, because I just would like the PX.560M to be able to do it without a computer

The knobs are affected by the tones and the registrations but you can decide which values the registration can alter page 81

Of course you can... Tone --> Edit --> Effect --> select the effect Rotary or Drive rotary if you select an Organ Tone in the main (registration) screen (in Upper 1) you will see that some Knob has already been assigned by default to control speed / rate / vibrato / etc go to Controller screen to assign Knobs, pedals, Mod Wheel then change the parameters as you like and save the whole as a registration there is everything in the manual, maybe you prefer a video guide

Thank you Julian but I will definitely... create a creature... even though it will hardly resemble a train... besides this train tone goes onto a track of a midi file, so that I cannot use a registration with arpeggiator filtering for instance but I can save control changes in the midi track...

I agree with you all... about the waves... about the plenty of train sound on the net in all of its nuances http://soundbible.com/tags-train.html http://www.grsites.com/archive/sounds/category/29/ https://www.audioblocks.com/royalty-free-audio/trains-sound-effects but... I will try to create something that resembles a train... so that it wil be more rewarding,,,
