  1. Ok to continue with need for certain midi commands, I can send midi codes to change patches (instruments) for all four regions Upper1/Upper2 as channet 1/2 etc.... but sometimes i have to use a performance registration where i have the instruments selected and the transpose say +4,, and i often increase or decrease the octives -1, -2 or +1 , +2 some different for each Upper1/Upper2/Lower1/Lower2,, now if the next song gets different instruments,, i send those automatically, but the other settings described above remain as previous registration,, causes a lot of problems,, my work around has been to hit the GRAND PIANO BUTTON as a general reset at end of the song before sending the midi codes for new patches.... Autoresume is off. how can i reset the whole thing back to 'GRAND PIANO' OR General reset of keyboard (maybe not rebooting) using a midi code(s) and then i can send my next set of instruments for next song...? thanks mike
  2. thank you for your response,,, i use a android tablet to send change patch codes to the 560 without pro blem, so i know it's listening, and believe me that is a life saver in a performance to setup the 'next song' , but yes reading the midi implantation, i think i'd have better luck loading or creating a midi tune via remote midi than playing it. so what i may do for performance, is connect the audio out from the tablet to the audio in of the casio 560 and tap a start midi on the app i have on the tablet,, or possible convert the midi to mp3 and use the audio player within my tablet music app to start the converted midi/mp3 file as the desired play point. and it will play thru the casio ,, and i can of course play along. there's usually a simple inexpensive way to do it,, or a complex and out of budget way to handle,,,,,,, thanks mike
  3. What midi commands can i send to say select midi song 001 or 003 for example and play(start) it? i hope it's that' easy,, i know there are midi commands for song select and start but i can't seem to make it happen on my 560 mike
  4. Hello, Been using my Px-560M for about 3 years,, most things i like, here's my questions your help is always appreciated 1. I am using Musicsheets on android tablet with usb cable to keyboard usb midi port. i can change Upper 1, Upper 2, Lower 1, Lower 2 instruments (programs) on channel A what i dont understand is how to pick a specific registration such as bank 4 , button 3 or as i call it 4-3..... what channels, settings, codes are needed to send this to set the keyboard? 1a. codes to turn on an instrument ie,, upper 1 is automaticaly on,, uppper 2 is not,, how to turn on upper 2 by midi command. 1b. any easier to read docs on midi,, seems confusing, no examples,, 2. When i make system changes using the system menu, such as Midi volume, or on the Midi menu,, such as port A,, and turn off keyboard i loose all settings is this normal,, how can i save my system settings? that's it for now,, not bad for first support request in over 3 years! mike
  5. thanks brad, i am getting a better understanding, that this keyboard is about quality sounds/feel and performance,, not a synth/workstation... you said...... The registration filter screen is for disabling recall of various saved items in registrations. could you elaborate on this a little with an example,, i just dont understand why the ''reg filter screen'' allows you to choose each bank.... are you saying that if i disable a function for say 3 banks in the filter screen and then "" store "" bank 2 button 2,, then every time i press bank 2 button 2,, those disabled filter functions for 3 banks will be recalled ? it sounds like each registration is a way of recalling a completely configured new privia 560m... mike
  6. I recently rec'd my new privia 560m and went to the Registration screen, (manual page EN-80) you are allowed to change banks but it appears if you make a setting for bank 1 , the same settings are applied to the other banks,, this doesnt seem correct, i would have thought you would make a change for bank 1 like rhythm=On would allow all registrations in bank 1 use the same rhythm... for registration buttons 1-4 ... so i can have diff settings like tone, but use same rhythm in one song. am i seeing this wrong,, should there be some ''save'' option for this screen? thank you just learning mike
