  1. Thanks Tsquare, that's a big compliment!😎
  2. Hi XW Addict - Thanks so much! To my knowledge the XWs are waaaaaay more powerful than the HT3000, but thanks! I have programmed these drum patches a long time ago, sampled them and I now use a free VST plugin to play them back (DVS drum sampler). The samples are attached, although I am sure the XW kits will blow them away! HT3000_DrumkitPatches_giano.zip
  3. Hello everyone, this is a short track to celebrate my first bar visit (the one in the picture btw) after many months... As if the HT3000 would not be Lo-Fi enough, I have used a noise based patch to emulate a kind of vinyl record! All sounds are by the Casio HT3000, no mods or effects. Thanks for listening!
  4. Hi! as part of my enduring crusade for a rightful appreciation of the HT3000, this is an example of using dynamic waves when programming new patches! As in this example, by carefully setting the DCA envelope parameters, harmonic modulations can be obtained without using the VCF. Thanks for watching!!!
  5. Hello Edwin, beautiful sound and so nicely played - I would love to have this touch and skill thanks for sharing and looking forward to more music! on a side note, the quality of the video is really good - I think I should look for a new mobile phone!
  6. thanks, good comparison! πŸ‘and the 201 sounds are sweet, loved the piano and trombone. I think a CT anniversary model with the sound banks of the old CTs would also have been interesting what about the touch feeling? any preference?
  7. The HT3000 internal pattern sequencer has a maximum resolution of 16th notes, but it is possible to double the resolution by recording at "half speed", as you can hear by the metronome clicks at the beginning. This short example uses the internal sequencer combining even and triplet-based patterns on a simple sawtooth patch, with no external processing or effects. Thanks for listening!
  8. @ChasThank you very much! The patch I have used is this: DCO [00] = 1 LFO [01] to [04] = 0,0,0,0 VCF [10] to [16] = 9,2,19,30,0,30,20 DCA [20] to [24] = 8,23,0,9,31 CHO [60] = 1 TRS [70] = -5 but with [60]=0 (no chorus) because the effects are from the Zoom unit
  9. I have found a battered but functional guitar effect pedal (Zoom505II) and connected it to my HT3000. This little unit offers several effects and adds quite some depth to the sound; in the video I have added some chorus and reverb on the dry mono signal from the Casio. I think particularly for simple synthesizers like the HT3000, an effect unit can make a lot of difference. The reverb on the drums was like a time machine, sent me straight back to 1982 the music is inspired by Der Kommissar by Falco, thanks for listening!
  10. Nice song and video thanks for sharing! And what a beautiful sea, enjoy it! πŸ™‚
  11. @hippie403Thanks! yes, not many people playing HTs today apparently; admittedly there are so many nice synths around! The HT6000 is a very nice and warm sounding instrument, good luck for your search!
  12. Hello everyone, my HT3000 practicing No Roots by Alice Merton. Keep safe and graceful! Thanks for listening!!
  13. Hi Chas, thanks for the hint. In fact I was simply wrong: the HT6000 has indeed harmonically evolving waves, I had just missed them. Probably I was too excited to notice!
  14. Thanks for all the inputs above: my HT6000 is finally repaired! beautiful, so warm and smooth! My plan was put it back once repaired and go back to my trusty HT3000, but I am finding it very hard to part from it. Anyway, comparing it to the HT3000 I came across an interesting difference. On the HT700/HT3000 the harmonic content of some of the waveforms changes over time depending on the DCA settings, allowing for some additional movement and more complex attack phases. But as far as I can say this does not happen on the HT6000. Having an independent noise envelope this is of no practical disadvantage, and in fact it makes programming the HT6000 easier and more predictable.
  15. nice tune, thanks for sharing! and the drums sound so good
  16. Hi Vinciane, nice, thanks for sharing! Overall I picture this as a small ensemble playing at some summer outdoor festival; hopefully we'll get back to such things soon. And I really like the short "breath" pauses in the horn lines!
  17. Too bad for the battery leak it is the first time I read of such an extensive damage on an HT. I hope another HT3000 will soon cross your way, possibly a cheap one which is battered but functional, so you can use your current one for spare parts!🀞
  18. Hello Tom, thank you very much for your compliment, glad you liked it! I did not edit the recording, so I think the merit fully goes to my computer : ) I have used Windows Movie Maker 2007 and this is a single audio+video take from the PC camera and audio card.
  19. Thanks everyone, glad you like it! in fact I have just reworked the mix; I guess I was too excited to notice it when I published it yesterday
  20. A man and his Casio against the Wrong! https://youtu.be/FbtyIOHfKFE This is my cover of the Knight Rider Theme Song by Stu Phillips played on Casio HT3000. All drums and sounds by Casio HT3000; no effects or mods. The drums are custom patches sampled and played back free DVS drum sampler VST. I had to use a little trick for the rising/dropping sounds since the HT does not offer this feature: my workaround was to use the LFO: if you use the right rate while playing scales it gives the illusion of a continuous sound. In fact I had to use a sequencer, because my timing is not so precise For a fuller 80s experience here is the link of the same track synced to the images of the original intro, although Youtube.com warns that the video may not be visible in some countries. https://youtu.be/X8LmRwfacAE Thanks for listening!
  21. Hi Teodice, the easiest solution I can think of is leaving the Rhythm playing with zero volume; the HT700 will send out some data via MIDI OUT though. In fact, also pressing SYNCRO would stop the clock, but I am not sure if incoming MIDI data would start the accompaniment.
  22. hi Tsquare, cool! : ) after the first kick and snare hits I could not move from the spot! good transcription, and imho nice drum kit choice!! thx for sharing!
  23. Hi everybody, here is my Casio HT3000 playing Bill Withers' A Lovely Day. Thanks for listening and have a nice 2021!
  24. very nice! your videos get better and better πŸ‘
