With the prospect of purchasing an amp for the PX-560 to use at small venues (village hall/church etc), I’ve spent some time researching: keyboard amps and active speaker solutions, as I read that many keyboard players find these a fine alternative. I would like features such as that which appear on the Behringer KXD12 (keyboard amp) or the Alto MixPack 10 (Active Speaker/Portable PA): i.e. a small number of channel inputs, and stereo outputs etc. The main thing is that I’ve not been able to find any keyboard user reviews of either of these with regard to their sound for something like the PX-560 - the key thing! With a budget of around £300 I would appreciate any comments/suggestions/alternatives that the wise people on this forum can suggest.

Hi all, I have just ordered an iPad to use with Casio px5 to solve 2 big (for me) problems with casio: the monophonic mode with synth and the weak organ sound engine. for organ I think I'll use App Galileo, or maybe the hammond in Garageband, I'll have to try. For synth I want to know what app do you use for reliable, solid use in LIVE gigs (not amateur use at home). It's fundamental that the synth have mono/legato option, poly mode, and that I can change preset throught midi program change from casio and that it can work on only one midi channel. I already bought animoog with black friday sales, thinking that changing preset throught program change was a common feature in all app synth, but I was wrong..it doesn't do it (for me, unbelieveble) I want to know some app synth with this features and that doesn't get no issues with nothing. I'm looking to sunrizer and magellan (I prefer the second for sound), but I want to know if someone of you use them in live use and if there is any problems. or any other app suggestions? I want to link the mini jack out of iPAd to mini jack in of casio, is there any problem? I read that the output of iPad is a bit low, can I balance its audio with casio audio with line in Gain, or there is too much difference and have to further boost the ipad signal? Thank you for the replies

EDM Live Jam FX with Performance Multi-function Keys Performance Name: LIVE JAM FX This performance uses multi-function keys to change the tone/patch being played in Zone1/Part 1 from C- to C6. The multi-function keys section is from C#6 to C7. The black key multi-function keys are control keys that turn DSP effects on/off for Zone1/Part 1, change the tone to play on Zone1, and change the DSP effect being used. The white multi-function keys section quickly sets the DSP effect to a preset effect. Tutorial XW-G1 Sampling EDM Live Jam Performance
Rusty Krash Baxter posted a topic in XW-G1 Specific
I just uploaded a new video to YouTube, Tutorial XW-G1 Sampling EDM Live Jam Performance http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AfM5zQFBQw -
I have been learning my XW-G1 for about a month now. Here is a new original song “It’s Alright” EDM Live Jam Performance.

I have had my XW-G1 for 2 weeks now. I have figured out how to do everything for my EDM electronic dance music performances to replace my Kaossilator Pro and microSAMPLER. If I can figure out how to do vocals with a vocoder robot voice I can replace my Kaoss Pad. I have not had a chance to check this post out on this forum yet but it sounds like the XW-G1 has the ability to do a robot voice: http://www.casiomusicforums.com/index.php?/topic/4483-tlkbxrobot/ Here is my EDM live jam video with the XW-G1 sampling:

I went thru the stages and flagged many that are very similar, so I may overwrite them. Does anyone play live and have any special organization for the stages that work? I'm guessing the pianos in the bank X-0 position, ep's in bank X-1, etc makes sense, but it's a different way to setup sounds from what I'm used to, and I'm concerned about pressing 3 buttons to go from a piano to an organ quickly, for instance. My XP has on bank one: 3 pianos, 4 organs, 3 synths, so I can play several songs on this one bank requiring only one key press to switch sounds. For other sound sets, I can switch to bank 2, so again, I'm only hitting one button on the fly to change sounds if needed. Maybe this is a non-issue, but I was just wondering about how others set up for live play?
