Hi, I have a question. What is the format of the sample files for the CTK-4200 keyboard? And is there any place to get them besides recording them yourself? And one last question, is there a format converter for the samples? Thank you.

This is a vibraphone hex layer tone that uses samples from my Deagan Aurora II vibraphone. The samples were made years ago on an (Ensoniq?) ESI-32 sampler, and I've ported them over to various Yamaha and Korg synths (and now the MZ-X) for live playing with a Xylosynth mallet controller. Let me know if you're able to load this into your MZ-X, and if you find it useful (and more realistic than the preset vibe tones?). -
Need advice Uploading my sounds to PX5s

Hi all, I know it's very quiet in the XW world these days, so I am not sure how many people are left to offer advice. Anyhow, I have dug out my G1 after not using it for some time, and have started using it for its sampling features. I am also using the Casio Data Editor to do a lot of the programming/ transfer samples/ transfer data etc. One thing I am trying to do, is use it as a traditional sampler, i.e. so that I can multi sample a classic synth wave, apply it across the keyboard, and have it loop the samples when a key is held down. I have managed to do all three of these tasks, however, when it comes to setting a loop point I cannot seem to get it to do so without noticeable clicks/ pops when it loops. No matter where I set the loop point in the Data Editor, I can reduce the clicks/ pops, but cannot get a seamless loop to occur. I recall reading somewhere that it is better to prepare/ trim samples offline via an editor such as Audacity, and then load them into the G1. I have Audacity and I am quite familiar with using it, so can anyone advise what I need to do to a sample to get a seamless loop point? Just to sum up, I am trying to sample sounds that will play when a key is pressed, and will loop continuously if/ when the key is held down without popping or clicking during the looping stage. Hope someone can help!

Just got a new PX-3. The main stereo grand piano has a group of "funky" notes, i.e., A#5 thru C5 (the octave just above middle C). They are dull at the same velocity compared with the notes on either side. Anyone else notice this? Gary

Hi, I'm Marty, and new at the forum. My brother Daniel is the musician, and I am the guy who speak english. We are from Argentina, and my brother, buy a MZ-X 500. We are big fans from Jean Michel. My brother used to have a Korg, and at the time he had downloaded a sample pack of Korg, which weighs 1.61gb, with sounds of Jarre. The problem is that I was looking for and there isn't (currently) converters from Korg (KSF-KSC-KMP) to Casio. We want to know what options we have to load those samples, because we no longer have the Korg. Or if not, someone have sample packs from Jean Michel Jarre's music, compatible with the MZ-X500. Thanks in advance. PS: Sorry for my bad english.

Hello, How are you? I share with you some samples created with the CASIO XW-G1 after a long period of inactivity in this forum. The use of the XW-G1 is different from everything known and that makes it special. The XW-G1 really is a beast disguised as a foolish sheep. It offers an infinity of wonderful things. It is a jewel in the world of synthesizers and electronic music. Greetings and have a good day. Thank you. 80 A ring tone lo-fi Future PUM BUM yeeeeaa The banjo of the beast The cheerful machine The Walker The wandering whistle Tranquility

My 3800 had the perfect steel guitar sound ... perfect attack ,etc. Most of you are probably too young to remember the Byrds "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere" but that CASIO had the PERFECT sound . . . I traded up for a new WK 7500, and the sound seems to be missing . . . can anyone help me find the Pedal STEELE GUITAR on the WK 7500:

Hey there! One issue I've been having with the XW-PD1 is that the default pad pitch settings when changing to a sample padset is bizarre - for some reason instead of the regular chromatic scale starting on C3, it starts on D#3 and then skips a semi-tone later in the chromatic scale (G# to A#, missing A). Is there any way to change this default? I've read and re-read the instructions, and tried everything I could think of - to no avail.. This only happens when changing to the Sample Padset, both Synth/Melody are OK, chromatic starting on C3. Cheers in advance!

I am trying to load in some samples onto my XW-G1 that I made on my computer. My band is going to use them as backing tracks (drummer is playing to a click, and I will trigger the backing tracks) - I uploaded them onto the User Wave tones using the DataEditor. But I have a couple of questions. 1) We have one interlude sample that is about 1 minute long. I am aware that the looper can't play back the entire thing, as it is meant to only play short things that are looped. Most of the samples are short so that's not a problem, except for the one interlude. Is there a different place I can load the sample in through the data editor? For instance, PCM melody, PCM Drum DSP, Solo Synth, etc. These are all options in the drop down menu on the "transfer" section on DataEditor. 2) On my keyboard in the User wave tones, it goes from U:200-210 and then skips to U:300-U:310... where are the other 100 user tones? DataEditor will only let me load in 10 samples, from 200-209... how do I use the other user tones? or can I only use 10? Any help I can get would be great, thank you.
