I created a Reaper DAW patch script for the Casio CT-S1. You can upload the patch script in Reaper and then select GM sounds, CT-S1 sounds, and even a standard drum kit to use! If you use a different DAW, I think you should be able to tweak the file to a format that your DAW can read. Enjoy. -

You can load this .reabank file in the Reaper DAW track's "Bank/Program Select" section or through the Track FX window to select PX-560 tones. This is my first attempt at creating a patch script file for the PX-560. I found a PX-5S patch script and used it as an example. I used the Casio PX-560 Appendix document as a reference to find the tone numbers (Bank Select MSB [5] and Program Change [4]) to use. I used "0" after every bank number and before the bank description. I have not added all the sounds to the file because it is a painstaking process since the tone numbers are not sequential and don't seem to follow any pattern (unlike the tones in the PX-5S which seem to follow a more logically grouped pattern). The .reabank file is just a simple text file, so you can modify this file to add other tones. If you are interested in doing this, hopefully you can figure it out by looking at the file and Appendix. It was a challenge to figure out how to group the tones, so I just ended up grouping them by banks (each bank can have a mix of tones) and naming them as best as I could. If you know of a better way of organizing the tones or creating a patch script, please share. Reaper PX-560 patch script.reabank -
I am slowly learning how to use Reaper DAW with the PX-560. At first I wasn't sure if you could easily do this, but now I see it is possible and opens some exciting new options for me. I noticed there are patch scripts available for download from Casio: Since I could not find a patch script for Reaper yet, I did some research and finally figured out how to create my own .reabank file. It works fairly well, but it takes a while to create the file since the sound program and bank select numbers are not sequential in the Appendix manual. Has anyone come across an existing patch script for the PX-560 or know if one is coming from Casio? If not, any suggestions on an efficient way to create the .reabank file? Thanks.

I'd like to control the PX-780 from Cubase (which is a computer DAW sequencer similar to Sonar or Cakewalk). That would be much easier if I could find a patchname script file (.txt) or an instrument definitions file (.ins file) for the PX-780. Does anyone know where I can find such a file for the PX-780? (I assume the file for a PX-350 would be similar.) If a patch script file is available, I would be much more likely to buy a PX-780, instead of a Roland, Yamaha, or Korg keyboard. Thanks.
