Lurch
Has anyone ever had a problem with the LCD display not working properly as follows?; When powered on sometimes the LCD display is blank, when looking directly down from a top view. If viewed from a lower angle, 4-5 black squares are visible, but that's all. No information. I then have to turn the keyboard OFF and the ON. I may have to do this several times before the LCD returns to normal. It's been this way for several years now.
- T -
Sounds like the display has a ribbon cable connector with an intermittent lead. Could be the battery lead, the ground lead, or one of the leads that controls brightness or contrast.
Lurch
Hi Tnicoson, looks like i'll have to open up the tool box. Thanks for the info. I guess we don't get many eyes down here at the bottom of the Casio Forum.

MarkyD310
Was there any solution to this problem? I’m having the exact same thing with the squares showing and needed to power cycle several times before the screen displays as it should. I opened up the back and cleaned the contacts of the ribbon going to the display but that didn’t help at all
