PianoManChuck
Hi everyone! Just wondering if someone may have created a "Lucky Man" (Emerson, Lake & Palmer) patch for the PX-560? Our band is considering playing "Lucky Man", but without that signature synth sound, the song would be worthless. Thanks in advance!
- T -
Chuck If you don't get lucky on the Lucky Man patch for the PX-560 - Mike Martin mentioned the Lucky Man sound in one of his early XW-P1 video seminars. If you can find someone here, who made it, and they can tell you what wave sample and parameters were used, you might be able to fashion something close on the 560, yourself. My concern would be whether the 560 has a wave sample that is close enough and a sound editor that is robust enough to do the proper wave shaping. Good luck ! AlenK
This is a good thread with access to a lot of other threads and tutorials: https://www.gearslutz.com/board/electronic-music-instruments-electronic-music-production/894589-reverse-engineering-lucky-man.html Frankly, I suspect your biggest problem with getting a really accurate emulation may be the simple fact that the 560 doesn't have a monophonic mode, unlike the XW-P1 and the MZ-X500. It's always polyphonic. At the very least it will mean you will have to be very careful with your phrasing to avoid overlapping any notes.
