Abdullah
Hi all, I bought a Casio CDP130 digital piano 4 months ago, I didn't know anything about half pedalling function then. But now my piano teacher said it would be better for my exercises if I could do that. I have a Casio SP-3 sustain pedal but it does not support that. Does anyone know if I get a M-Audio SP-2 or Casio SP-20, can I use half pedalling function with this piano? Thanks, Abdullah.
Joe Muscara
IIRC, that model only has the sustain pedal input, not the input for the SP-32 nor SP-33 pedal. If that's the case, then this model does not support half pedaling. Of the current models, the CDP-S350 does as do the PX-S1000 and PX-S3000. They can use the stand-alone SP-34 pedal unit, which transmits continuous pedaling for the damper pedal (I don't think the SP-2 nor the SP-20 do). The CDP-S100 does not support half or continuous pedaling, either.
