Kino Lai
Hello everybody, I am an amateur songwriter in Hong Kong. I am looking for an 88-key digital piano/arranger and I found the products PX-360 & PX-560 having exceptional specifications which are very useful for musicians like me. They have a midi recorder, 17 tracks sequencer, and mixer that I can't find anything like these in other brand's products at this price. I think they Casio has done a great job. Unfortunately, I cannot find any local store in Hong Kong who still selling PX-360 & PX-560. They all said it has been a discontinued product and would not be found on the market. So I would like to ask everybody here, should I wait for a new model of this series of Casio piano out on the market? (Perhaps a new model PX-370 or PX-570) Or I go to buy one PX-360 from any other regions like mainland China.
Joe Muscara
I can't speak to availability outside of the U.S. because I simply don't know, but take a look at the new CDP-S and PX-S models, which came out in early 2019. Here in the U.S., we have the CDP-S100, the CDP-S350, the PX-S1000, and the PX-S3000. (I think I saw another CDP-S model available outside the U.S. but I can't recall what it was.) In particular I think the CDP-S350 or more likely the PX-S3000 might have the features you want. They both have hundreds of excellent sounds, and a new keyboard action most players are blown away by. They also have a great sounding internal speaker system and will run on batteries as well as the included AC adapter. There is also a grand piano style three-pedal unit available that doesn't require attaching to a stand.
