Chandler Holloway
In honor of May the 4th, I covered the cheesy Casio ROM Cartridge version of the Star Wars theme from back in the 80s. Love all the classic Casio drum sounds of that era, and was glad to be able to put them to use for this occasion.
Tsquare
Great job. How do you keep the note sequence straight using pads? Seems like a high stakes game of Simon, Ha.

Seems like a high stakes game of Simon, Ha. You kind of just have to tailor your note assignments on the pad to the melody you're planning to play. For the most part, my pads were just two octaves of the C major scale. I got around the 16 pad note limitation by implementing Key Shift to allow me to play notes outside of C major. You'll notice in some cases that I play the same pad twice but get two different notes. That's because the sequence of patterns has been set to transpose the pad grid for those measures. This allows me to reuse patterns and expand the available notes for melodies.
