ronaldroy2000
I have started to have keyboard problems with my Casio PXs3000. I'm getting the full velocity thing happening intermittently, mostly from A above middle C up to the E above. Seems to happen mostly when I play a chord with A and E in it, or holding those notes. Is there anything I can check before having to pull it apart? i bought it second hand but it's not very old. So annoying! More hours of my life. I've had other keyboards do this ... after 15 years of use!
Joe Muscara
Usually if it's a single note it's dirty key contacts. That fix can be relatively easy. With multiple notes, I'm not so sure. It could be a loose connection so the sound generator only sees one sensor. Still, I'd try cleaning it with compressed air and see if that helps. Maybe it's less notes than you think.
Mike Martin
Did anything get spilled into the keyboard? Across a range of keys like that would be highly unusual but I would suspect something may have happened to it before you purchased it.
ronaldroy2000
Further to that, it seems other notes are being triggered occasionally from A, if already playing a chord. It's been fine for the year I've had it. I'll try compressed air before taking it apart.
ronaldroy2000
Actually the A is triggering the E above sometimes. Weird.
