Oh I mis-read the question. It’s pan position? That is by design.

In an orchestra, the bass section in on the right side.
  2. Mike Martin's post in CT-S1 can't be recognise as a midi device. was marked as the answer
The first solution is to make certain that it is a DATA cable. It is extremely common that micro USB cables are for charging only.

Secondly, if there are other USB MIDI devices in your system note that Windows has a USB MIDI device limit.  Each time you plug a USB MIDI Device into a USB port you're using one of available 10 locations. So even if devices are not plugged in, they're still using those slots. Commonly people use up those slots by accident and no additional USB MIDI Devices can be used. This requires that "un-connected USB devices" are removed manually from the Windows device manager.

  3. Mike Martin's post in Is is possible to connect ToneBank MT-260 to MuseScore? was marked as the answer
    Jenny,
With a third party USB MIDI Interface you could connect it to a computer.  This model USB MIDI Interface has both USB-C and B ports so it should work with any Mac. There are less expensive options depending on which king of USB ports you have on your computer.
  4. Mike Martin's post in PX-350 Nasty AC Hum, looking for schematics was marked as the answer
This is a main board issue, nothing that can be repaired yourself unfortunately.
  5. Mike Martin's post in Please clear this doubt!!! was marked as the answer
You can control Hex Layer parameters via the 3 knobs on the PX-560.
They can't be controlled from an external MIDI controller.

  6. Mike Martin's post in Does the PMP-400 need a USB-MIDI Driver? was marked as the answer
The PMP-400 does not have a USB MIDI port. You'd need a USB to MIDI interface of some kind.

  12. Mike Martin's post in New CT-S1 Wired connection with Ipad Air? was marked as the answer
There is no difference other than the cable type compared to the CTK-5000.
Assuming you're using a genuine Apple adapter, my advice is to try a different USB cable. I've seen all kinds of issues with micro-usb cables that were designed for charging but not for data.
  13. Mike Martin's post in CTK5000 MIDI TO IPAD was marked as the answer
Yes it is class-compliant. You need to use an Apple USB to Lightning adapter.
  14. Mike Martin's post in Playing General Midi files from older soft ware on PX-360 was marked as the answer
The issue is the lack of a Bank Change in the MIDI file on Track 10 - MIDI Channel 10.   The PX-360 allows for ANY sound not just drums to be on channel 10.   If the MIDI file does not have a bank change control then you may not get the proper sound on channel 10.

    From the GM Standard:
Drum bank is accessed by setting cc#0 (Bank Select MSB) to 120 and cc#32 (Bank Select LSB) to 0 and PC (Program Change) to select drum kit.
  15. Mike Martin's post in Turn off midi send from PX5 was marked as the answer
    Nova,
The answer Scott gave you is correct. The PX-5S will NOT send program changes when selecting Stage Settings if you set it up as he described.  Note that we're talking about selecting STAGE SETTINGS.  Choosing TONES on the PX-5S may send program changes but if you set everything up in Stage Settings you'll be fine. At this point the only time the PX-5S would send a program change through MIDI is if you specifically told it to do so within the MIDI pages of the Stage Setting.
  16. Mike Martin's post in Sustain pedal reversed sometimes? was marked as the answer
The PX-5S can use Yamaha pedal or other non-Casio brand. Just keep your foot off the pedal when you turn it on, the PX-5S will detect the polarity.
  17. Mike Martin's post in Ah..go on tell us..hired or not?the deadline has passed. was marked as the answer
    Richard Formidoni got the job.
  18. Mike Martin's post in PX5S Successor? was marked as the answer
No, I can't comment about future product development. I'll say that the PX-5S continues to sell at a very steady pace. [/End Speculation]
  19. Mike Martin's post in px-350 -- Very quiet recordings that have STATIC :( was marked as the answer
The PX-350 USB recording function is designed to have enough audio headroom for use of the 17 track recorder or Piano plus the arranger capabilities.  It is designed to record all of these parts at once without distorting during the recording.  If you simply record 1 instrument, that full dynamic range is not being used so when you "amplify it" in your software you're also raising the noise floor.  The best solution for recording one instrument sound such as piano is to record using the audio outputs to a quality audio interface with proper levels set of the number of sounds you're using.
  20. Mike Martin's post in MIDI Playback in PX-350 -- Monophonic ? was marked as the answer
The GM tones are not the same as the others / that is part of the GM spec.  Yes its mono not stereo. The sound you see selected on the screen has nothing to do with the sound the SMF file is playing back Your best option is to edit the .MID file and change the bank/program information for the track to choose the (better) sounds you want.
  21. Mike Martin's post in CDP-130 driver download for mac was marked as the answer
No driver is needed.  Just connect it to your Mac.  You can verify that it is working the Audio/MIDI setup of your Mac (found in Utilities).
  22. Mike Martin's post in Casio cdp 230r vs Casio cdp 230 was marked as the answer
They are the same model.  No difference.  At Casio we don't always include the last letter.  Technically the PX-350 is the PX-350M.   In the USA we never refer to it as the PX-350M, the M is omitted.
  23. Mike Martin's post in Downloads don't seem to be working was marked as the answer
I think we're back up and running.  Something happened on the server.....
  24. Mike Martin's post in don't touch any knob or slider was marked as the answer
With the exception of effects depth settings (Reverb, chorus delay) and volume/expression levels, the sliders and knobs are often "offsets" from the original parameter.   In the case of the original Concert Grand 0-0 Stage Setting, the "template" that was used for the knob and sliders may not be the most useful for playing piano but was done this way so this Stage Setting would allow you to easily use it to preview other tones while still providing some control.  The beautify of the PX-5S is you can change everything to fit your needs.  You may not use Slider 1 for Cutoff on Piano, so change it to something else - make it an on off switch for Zone 2 and put the new string tones there.

In the case of Stage Setting 7-7 PolySynth, there is a point where the release time goes "too far" and release almost seems infinite although it is not.  It is just very, very slow.  The simple solution to this is go to the Common page of the Stage Setting and set the maximum value for knob 4.   A value of around 120 may all you need.  Again, you can change it to fit your musical needs.
  25. Mike Martin's post in Where is the cut-off located that is assigned to the slider in many stage settings? was marked as the answer
There is not another location for cutoff.  When you make an adjustment using the slider you're creating an OFFSET from whatever the programmed value is in the tone itself.   If the Cutoff in the tone is set at a value of 64 then the slider will allow you to increase it +64 or -64.   Other parameters such as Key Velocity and Envelope Depth may also be impacting the sound.

Reverb (chorus & delay)  mix level is the true value and does not work as an offset the way the Cutoff and some other parameters work.
