Zon
HI, First post. I bought a CT-S1, and it doesn't want to connect with my Ipad. It shows up in several of my VST's as an "off line" controller option, so the Ipad sees the ct-s1, so Its hooked up correctly. I feel like I'm missing something simple, the Ipad connects instantly with my other keyboards including my Casio CTK5000. Is the WiFi dongle the only way to get MIDI to work with the new Casios? Any help is appreciated! Thanks.
Solution Mike Martin Posted September 8, 2021 Solution Share Posted September 8, 2021 There is no difference other than the cable type compared to the CTK-5000. Assuming you're using a genuine Apple adapter, my advice is to try a different USB cable. I've seen all kinds of issues with micro-usb cables that were designed for charging but not for data.
Zon
Well, You Nailed it Mike. It was the wrong type cord. Funny thing, when it initially didn't work, I grabbed a different cord to try, and it also didn't work. So, I ruled it out as the problem. It took me 3 tries to find one that did, And Its the heaviest wire gauge mini USB cord I had.(no clue what gear it came from) Ive never heard that these cords can be different, and I'm no spring chicken with this stuff. Thanks.
