Can I save different sound profiles on a PX-S1000

Nobody else thinks this is a good idea? You spend time tweaking a piano tone, then poof, it may be gone and you have to rebuild.  I mean having 4 or 5 is enough, the one I have now would be #1 for piano.  It does not involve any of the hall simulators, but does include the surround. The hall simulators are a little over the top somehow to use on a regular basis. Glad to have them yes, and even they are tweakable..
