Lisa73 Posted April 2, 2022 Share Posted April 2, 2022 Hello Everyone, I have a problem with IDES 3. First thinking it was I was using Windows 10 but even with an older laptop now with XP installed on it the issues with loading files bigger then 70 kB still are there. Things I can load are User Voices, DSP setting and Drawbar organs. When I want to load a User Voice with Wave the software starts but then after a few seconds it freezes up and the LED on the keyboard is not lighting up anymore. With Styles uploading the LED lights up shortly and then turns of and the Error MIDI TIme Out appears on the screen. I'm using not a crappy MIDI cable, I use the E-MU 1x1 TAB and that seems to work fine because can play MIDI files thru the keyboard and it's able to work with Cubase and mutiple channels. In the IDES 3 manual specifications it says that it needs a PC with 1,0 or 1,1 USB ports. Should that be the problem?, cause the ports on my laptop are 2,0 and 1,5 USB. It seems that the software is to slow for the laptop, the only thing I can try is to install a USB 1,0 driver for the secondary USB ports that are not beeing installed by Windows XP. hant7 Posted April 5, 2022 Share Posted April 5, 2022 Добрый день Lisa73 . Вероятнее всего дело не версии драйвера USB порта (версии совместимы в обратном порядке), а в самом файле. Попробуй конвертировать файл в программе. Скорее всего, таблица назначенных инструментов CASIO 900 не совпадает с данными файла. Синтезатор очень простой, поэтому бываю такие нюансы. У меня, к примеру, так же не "заходил" хороший миди-файл. После конвертации, файл зашёл, но звучание его уже стало совсем не ТО! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Most likely it's not the version of the USB port driver (versions are backwards compatible), but in the file itself. Try to convert the file in the program. Most likely, the table of assigned CASIO 900 tools does not match the data in the file. The synthesizer is very simple, so there are such nuances. I, for example, also did not "enter" a good midi file. After the conversion, the file went in, but its sound was already completely different! Goodmorning Hant, Well tried to convert a SMF file in the program itself. But even that would not load it in to the memory, and the same error message appears that the MIDI Time out was the problem even that the good drivers are selected. I can tranfer sounds and DSP settings as long that it's not bigger then 100 KB, when I tried that then I get the MIDI Time Out message again. Can not even load the ALL DATA file, so there's something wrong with the MIDI to USB cable. To examine that further I connected the 900 with the cable with Cubase and when I played notes on the 900 and the notes where not taken over correctly. Played in A key but the keyboard started in D and was forgetting notes in the beginning, after a few bars the right notes would sound but out of sync. When adding more MIDI tracks there where signals in the up following MIDI tracks that where not played and where not coming from the 900 but the cable kept blinking. Disconnecting the USB cable resulted in a blue error screen in Windows 10. So I think why the 900 refuses to work with the cable. Ordered a new one and hoping that it will work beter then it does now. If not, I really have to consider that there's a fault on the motherboard of the keyboard itself. Thanks for your reply. Try these, in the app. I have downloaded your file and will try it with the 900. Casio does warn that some USB to MIDI cables can cause problems. Let you know how did worked. Lisa73 Posted April 7, 2022 Author Share Posted April 7, 2022 Having a refund on the CTK-900 because it had damage wich I did not know about so I could buy a different MIDI to USB cable. Bought the Esi MIDIMATE Ex and that worked really well and quick.. hant7 Posted August 14, 2022 Share Posted August 14, 2022 (edited) Кабель/шнур для передачи MIDI CTK-900 и ПК нужно выбрать (или взять в аренду(на время) очень качественный. Много с памятью делать то и нечего особенно: наработано очень много и стилей/ритмов и звуков/тонов. Как я уже писал ранее, прошёл все круги в процессе подключения синтезатора к ПК. Решение нашелось: помог модуль от компании "АТЕМП" с АВИТО. С тех пор проблем нет с определением синтезатора и ПК (Win 7 - Win 10). Рекомендую. hant7 Posted August 14, 2022 Share Posted August 14, 2022 В добавок к сказанному ранее: MIDI кабель и сам порт хорошо работает с приложениями на ПК от KORG и аналогичных виртуальных машин: KORG Collection 3 (KORG TRITON Extreme v1.0.5 например), TONE 2 (Tone2.Icarus.v1.6.0-R2R например) и т.д.
