XW-Addict
The latest casio SA review I saw was here on the forum from Chas , What to say that isn't already said about them but the more you look into them , at least to me its becoming a cult thing, I mean who is into these little keyboards unles starters or enthusiast who seek little pleasures in them. but the SA holds little suprises unoticed unless your into them like "Chas" does :=)) Casio released the SA 50 and 51 a while back this mean the 46 hits the road. There allot going on in the newer SA which impress allot but hold your horses The SA 46 a gem in its own right has several version each with unique sounds I'm not going to write a lenghty post about both the new and old SA. It seems there are two versions of the SA 46 a 2015 version and the latest both having a few different sounds nside, Why is that so exciting well I love that there always a history that follows the story behind a keyboard ask Cyberyogi , Chass or Jokeyman I like reading about their knowhow and stuff. Specially for interest reason I like to own one so now i'm seeking specifically for the SA 46 2015 version, (P.S) i've found myself a CTK 900 ZPI sound engine and its interresting sound library, there are sounds in there my other casio never heard off. I have to admit I don't need it but looks darn fun how the SA 50 sounds might start a long conversation if this still AL or Aix sound engine. Here a review SA-46 Here a review SA-50 very exciting stuff. 1 3
Pravito
I expect a SA-80 in the future, preferably with 49 mini touch-response keys and better sounds (AiX, maybe)
CYBERYOGI =CO=Windler
They need to make a version of the classic SA-series sound engine with USB midi and fully editable synth parameters (on device/midi parameters - NOT obnoxious brainfryer app crap). Also a velocity sensitive variant resembling Yamaha PSS-A50 would be interesting.
pianokeyjoe
The only SA series I have ever heard or owned in real life not just hearing in youtube, was the ones from the 1990s which feature cheesy synthetic 100 sound tonebank sounds ala CA100/110. The SA1 black was my first. The SA21 was my second and the SA39 was my third mini SA keyboards I was able to afford to buy as a teen with allowance money lol. The bigger keyboards only came when I was an adult and could WORK. I am impressed by the new SA line! I have seen some of these for sale cheap but I always passed them up thinking they were the same or WORSE cheesy 100 sound tonebank SA1 like keyboards from 1989-92. I feel dumb now.
CYBERYOGI =CO=Windler
Modern SA-series is IMO plain boring. I yet only own a SA-76 (not the newest generation) and I do not say that they sound bad (the newest ones have even cleaner nice hifi samples), but these are mainly uninspiring acoustic instrument sounds that is too close to standard general midi. Classic SA-series lived by its strange algorithmic synthesis patterns with duration sensitive interactive behaviour that is not at all like GM but more like a Kawai PH50.
