Dorksaber
Hi all, I'm new to the Casio family with my new (to me) Privia PX-760. I'm teaching my daughter how to play on this amazing instrument, but one small problem. She is really tiny and can't reach the pedals. She's finally learning Moonlight Sonata 1st movement and it just doesn't sound right without Sustain, and she just can't reach the Pedal. If I permanently move the built in pedals higher up then I won't be able to play. Rather than creating a complicated mechanism for quick adjusting the Pedal height, has anyone tried splicing in a cheap stand alone Sustain pedal into the built-in harness? That way I can just place it on a stool for her to play, move it when I play. Does anyone know the pinout? Can the pedals be run in series or parallel or do they need to be switched back and forth? I figured I'd ask on here before I go messing around with my multimeter, curious if anyone has tried it and if there is any drawback to doing this. If not, I guess I'll try it and post on here about how it goes.
