JennyB
Hi! I've been given an ancient ToneBank MT-260 and I'd dearly love to use it to input notes into MuseScore. Is that possible? I only have the plug thingey for power — nothing for connecting it to my MacBook. I don't even know what kind of cord to buy and whether I should go to a music store or a tech store, I'm afraid. (I'm much less stupid when it comes to writing charts by hand!) The back of the keyboard has MIDI In and Out uh.. sockets, as well as something called Output and the DC 9V socket for plugging into the wall. If this miracle of being able to play notes that will turn into charts is actually possible, would you be kind enough to direct me to the simplest, idiot-proof set-up instructions you know of? Thank you SO much!
Solution Mike Martin Posted January 5 Solution Share Posted January 5 Jenny, With a third party USB MIDI Interface you could connect it to a computer. This model USB MIDI Interface has both USB-C and B ports so it should work with any Mac. There are less expensive options depending on which king of USB ports you have on your computer.
