So far, in the genera I have found it to be a powerful tool for the production of Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms, not to mention Chopin etc. etc. etc. Classics anyone? For example, the OffVelHarpsichord with the Hex WindsBrassStrg sounds pretty good without any editing with some of the Bach pieces I was experimenting with yesterday. I can't play Classical but I do enjoy playing with MIDI files and trying different arrangements. Blood-Pudding, I'd like to hear your performance of Gabriel Faure's Op.78 “Sicilienne”. I'm very fond of his Requiem. This is another great thing about the PX-5S, it's ability to record wav files. I've also been working with the concert grand piano tone using the “piano effect” for a fully opened lid, sympathetic resonance, and damper noise. I'm especially pleased with the interplay of harmonics between the “strings” when the “dampers” are raised. For me, this is the soul of the piano sound, the "shimmer", if you will.
