The Use of the PRIVIA PRO PX-5S In Classical Music

I would like to use both approaches to see where it takes me. For example, the OffVelHarpsichord with the Hex WindsBrassStrg sounds pretty good without any editing with some of the Bach pieces I was experimenting with yesterday. The PX-5S, it seems, lends itself very well to both solo and ensemble combinations. Hey, thanks for your interest Scott!

Many thanks, Scott. I'm not sure of how to access the sites you set up, though I'll figure it out. Blood-Pudding, I'd like to hear your performance of Gabriel Faure's Op.78 “Sicilienne”. I'm very fond of his Requiem. This is another great thing about the PX-5S, it's ability to record wav files.

I've also been working with the concert grand piano tone using the “piano effect” for a fully opened lid, sympathetic resonance, and damper noise. I'm especially pleased with the interplay of harmonics between the “strings” when the “dampers” are raised. For me, this is the soul of the piano sound, the "shimmer", if you will. I'll also apply these effects to the harpsichords and clavichords as well. I love this piano!

I have two Soundcloud sites set-up for the PX-5S... one is to "Spotlight" member recordings.. that one is at:

https://soundcloud.com/casio-px-5s-spotlight

The other one is to house less formal audio demos for new stage settings, experiments, etc.. that one is at:

https://soundcloud.com/casio-px-5s

I am also working on a new Audio Demos section on the  http://PX-5S.com site. Right now have  Mike's Casio Music Gear SoundCloud demos, but I think it will be cool to have different sections for demos by PX-5S owners of classical music, electronic, experimental, rock, jazz, etc.

In other words: We have A LOT going on to demonstrate the abilities of the PX-5S AND showcase the talent of the PX-5S community.. so it's a win-win. :)

Also make sure you join our Facebook Group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/Casio.Px5s/  - it's a great place to meet and interact with other PX-5S owners. Feel free to PM or email me for more information: scott@px-5s.com
