Midi Channel

Hello,

The Px-5s is really very flexible and customizable.  it can be a little daunting until you get used to it.  You can output on up to 4 channels at once if you like per stage setting.

Try this:

Press [Bank] and then the number(s) to select your stage setting.

Press[Edit]

Press[Enter] on Stage Setting in the little window

Press[Enter] on Zone Edit in the little window

Press Number twice to cursor down to MIDI Edit

Press[Enter]

Press Number 6 twice to cursor down to External Out

Use Knob 2 to dial in the desired MIDI out channel for that zone (for fine tuning use the + and - keys on the far upper right of the button panel).

You will likely want to change the midi channels for all 4 zones.  You can set them all the same or different.  In the little window in the upper right corner you will see Z1.  This means you are currently editing zone 1.  To the left of the window is a - and + key under the heading Zone/Part/Step/Track.  If you press the + key, the zone number will increase (Z2,Z3,Z4).  As you change each zone, you can dial in the midi channel just as you had done for zone 1.

When satisfied,  Press [Write].  You can use Knob 2 to change the stage setting number you wish to write to if you like (or you the + and - keys on the far upper right).  If you cursor down, you can change the Stage Setting name as well.  When happy, press [Enter] and follow the prompts.

Thank you for the great reply, I will try it out.
