piattica
Can PX5S play MP3 files?
kgaetano
You'll have to consult the manual, but I believe they have to be converted to WAV files, and have to have a particular naming convention to be played by the PX-5S.
kgaetano
Take a look at page "E-23" in the attached manual. This is really instructions for recording performances on the PX-5S but I think it also applies to playing pre-recorded audio files. although it may not say it specifically, I think the files you record get named "TAKE01.WAV", "TAKE02.WAV", ...) and so on, and the names of any audio files you want to play have to follow this format. Choppin
Just a note: The Px-5s has inputs that can receive an external audio signal. So if you had an MP3 player you could technically play music from it through the Px-5s.
Display Name
You received some good advice above. In addition to only playing .WAV files named TAKE00 - TAKE99, they need to be in 16 bit 44.1khz format. As far as audio goes, I tend to use the front USB as a recording medium only. For me, it is much easier to use another device to play backing tracks. Hugh O Kelly
Bottom line As long as you can play any song into the inputs into the PX 5s (mp3s AIFF etc ) they will be recorded into the PX 5s as wav files QED
