meandrake
Well I used the midi record feature of the MZ-X500 and recorded a system and a solo track on top. It all plays fine when played. Now when I save it to USB drive as midi file, it exports a one track midi (system track data is not there at all) and even track 2 has just a few snatches of notes. Is there a way I can export the entire playback to a proper midi that contains everything played?
Brad Saucier
System track is a proprietary Casio track not compatible with standard midi files. System track records multiple channels of data in one track. Save your song using "MIDI Recording Data" instead of SMF to save system track along with the solo tracks. This file type will only play on the MZX.
meandrake
OK. Thanks Gotcha. If I need a proper Midi I need to give up the rhythms and record strictly one instrument per track and all will be fine.
