CASIO LK-260 MIDI NOT WORKING WINDOWS 10

Recommended Posts

Casio keyboards are plug and play, class compliant.  No additional driver is needed.

If this is one of the newer Windows 10 machines that has USB-2.0 and the higher speed USB-3.0 ports, connect the LK-260 to a USB-2.0 port.  Due to the speed difference, some keyboards' USB-2.0 ports have problems communicating with USB-3.0 computer ports.  Also, since you are having problems. I recommend downloading and installing a shareware utility known as MIDIOX from midiox.com.  It will tell you if your computer is getting a connection to the LK-260.  If MIDIOX sees a good connection between the LK-260 and the computer, but your music software does not, then you  know your music software is the problem - not the LK-260, not the computer, and not Win-10.  In most of those cases, the problem is the options set up of the music software.
