jaketanner
Has anyone accidentally lost information on the song recorder because they didn't know it was in record? I'm not sure what happened, but I created a song with 2 tracks so far...next thing I know I must have hit the rhythm button by accident and to stop it I pressed the start /stop button then played a note or two, and next thing I know, I erased my piano track. I truly wish that Casio would make more of an effort to create some kind of record ready mode other than a blinking light..or at least have a metronome start or something to let you know HEY, YOU ARE IN RECORD MODE...This really is such a pain now. Maybe include a track safe feature for future software updates, so that accidents can be avoided. Seems that it's left up to the consumer to think about the what ifs... I still love the feel of this PX350 though...but man, the little things just get to me.
Jokeyman123
Yep if you start the rhythm stuff in record mode it deletes your track. And now you will find the rhythm track is recorded in its place. And I don't remember how I deleted it since it will now turn on the rhythm track automatically even in record and play it. I think you have to switch to the system track then arm record and hit start because regardless of the track you originally recorded, turning on the rhythm track while recording places it in the systerm track (I think). One of the more maddening aspects of multitrack recording with the PX350. And there is a recording metronome but it gives you no pickup or countin..as soon as you hit a key it starts recording. The only way I've been able to record is to create my own pickup measure with an empty track first or make sure I have at least one part of my arrangement designed as a pickup beat. Not a good solution because now this measure can't be deleted-at least not with the built-in song recorder unless I'm missing something. jaketanner
Thanks. I think inserting the blank measure would be helpful. Also, would you know how to change the tempo of the song recorder once I already started recording? Also if you can name the individual tracks, instead of trk1 trk 2..etc? Or should I keep a hard copy log for the instruments on the tracks? Thanks.
