HexSquarePAD
By Peter
https://soundcloud.com/petar-pavlovic-4/pad-improvisations-1
No square waves used Made entirely of Jupiter and Reverse Saw waves. The even harmonics are trying to cancel each out, so the odd harmonics are much louder, giving a squarish sound.

YourScore
By amaverick
This is a hex layer sound.
1 and 6 are panned stereo strings. (full volume}
2 and 5 are panned stereo pads sounds (half volume)
3 is a piano. (muted volume)
4 is a guitar. (muted volume)
A very orchestral strings and pads heavy sound. Very dramatic sounding. I have sliders 3 and 4 turned all the way down so you can choose either piano or guitar. Or you can bring both in.
I think this one turned out nice. Please be sure to rate it if you like.

GOLDN OLDIES
By amaverick
This is a hex layer patch.
Sliders 1 and 2 are stereo panned Choirs.
Sliders 3 and 4 are stereo panned old tape pads.
Slider 5 is Slow Strings.
Slider 6 is a tremolo organ.
I wanted a patch so I could play some of the older 50's and 60's songs. My dad was a child of the 50's ,so that"s usually all we play when we get together for some jamming sessions.
This patch has an almost transistor organ crossed with mellotron sound.
Of course you can adjust for your own tastes.
Works well for songs like - End of the world.

What??
By AlenK
Here’s an interesting sound I discovered by accident. I named it after the reaction I had when I first heard it.
The basis for this Hex Layer tone is a mix of two waveforms: Sy_MM Ramp (658) and Sy_MM Saw (659). They are perfectly complementary; the same waveforms with opposite phases. If they are mixed together with the same amplitudes and at the same pitch they exactly cancel and you hear silence.
If, on the other hand, the pitch of one is offset a little bit, as they are here they will cancel only at the start of the note and then drift out of phase as the note progresses. The result is a thin pulse tone that changes to a square wave, the rate of change depending on the pitch offset as well as on the pitch of the note you play. If the note is held long enough the waveform will change back to a pulse and cancel out briefly again cyclically. It’s essentially a controlled form of pulse-width modulation.
Another tone that layers this one with additional elements to achieve something a lot more powerful can be found here.

Power!

Here's a Hex Layer tone based on the same idea described here but layered with other waves to make something far more useful.
