  1. Hi everyone! I have not been on the forum in a while . Just returned a Roland Fa-06 and was thinking about purchasing the MZX 500. I loved my XW- P1 and made several hex-layer sounds which I shared on this site. Is 128 notes polyphony enough to run four combined hex-layers on the MZX-500 ? Or should I look into a used PX-5S with its doubled polyphony? I love creating orchestral and soundtrack kind of sounds to use. The arranger part and pads on the MZX-500 really would be nice though . I would really be ticked off to purchase the MZX and then a month later Casio release a newer version with higher polyphony. Thanks for any input guys and gals !
  2. Are you getting peaks from the audio interface or are you showing peaks in logic? If the audio interface has a volume control adjust it there to see if you can drop it from there. If not try adjusting within Logic. Also are you running the keyboard out from the headphone jacks or the the (left mono)and right )1/4 jacks?
  3. Are you gonna run the k2000 as a third board?
  4. Oh ok. I had saw that somewhere else before. Thanks Brad.
  5. I can find the factory default data for XW-G1 on Casios website, but I don't see this option for The XW-P1. Is there a way to set it back to the factory settings?
  6. I just wanted to share with you guys what I keep my XW In when not being played. I found this item at a local thrift store for just a couple bucks. It is a carrying bag for suits and dresses, but it fits my XW perfect. I would recommend something like a towel on the top of your board if the zipper worries you. I bet this would work for almost any boards out there. plus I get two zipper pockets on the front also.Pretty handy for extra cables. Check out the pics.

This is a hex layer patch. Sliders 1 and 2 are stereo panned Choirs. Sliders 3 and 4 are stereo panned old tape pads. Slider 5 is Slow Strings. Slider 6 is a tremolo organ. I wanted a patch so I could play some of the older 50's and 60's songs. My dad was a child of the 50's ,so that"s usually all we play when we get together for some jamming sessions. This patch has an almost transistor organ crossed with mellotron sound. Of course you can adjust for your own tastes. Works well for songs like - End of the world. House of the Rising Sun Stand by Me Telestar 96 Tears
