Muted Strum Acoustic Guitar (PX-5s)

About This File

Demo...https://soundcloud.com/bradmz/muted-strum-guitar-demo-px-5s-stage-setting

This is similar to my Ukulele stage setting except this one is an acoustic guitar. I created a muted picked string sound that makes this possible.

The arpeggiator will be on for zone 1 and assigned to play a phrase. This plays the muted strum for you. You will need to load the included phrase separately for that. I highly recommend using it.

To play the pattern use a rhythmic back and forth between your sustain pedal and the muted strum in the left hand. Release the sustain pedal and play the muted sound almost simultaneously.

Zone 1 = Muted Acoustic Guitar in the lower octaves (strum emulation created by the arpeggiator running the STRUM phrase)

Zone 2 = Open Guitar in the upper octaves

Slider 1 = Expression level of the muted strum zone 1

Slider 2 = Expression level of the open guitar zone 2

Slider 6 = Reverb level

Knobs = Master EQ

Download the STRUM phrase separately and place in user slot 150.

Hi, thanks for the great Stage Settings you programmed! I have a question on this SS, I can't seem to get it to work

with the strumming. I got your Ukulele strum working, but not the quitar? What could I be doing wrong? I followed the

instructions and is not working for the quitar.

Thanks!

I have issues with the right hand part, struming in fact is not working. I should hear the strumming

as it works with your ukulele part, right? It's not working for the guitar part. I copied the

separate Strum Phrase in user 150, but still not working. Thanks!

What I played in my demo was done freestyle, played manually.  This stage setting does not strum the right hand part for you like Ukulele does, however you can turn the Ukulele strum pattern on by enabling the arpeggiator in zone 2.

Oh ok, so it wasn't supposed to strum by arpegiator? I thought it would work like the ukulele SS. Got it, thanks!
